Slow Zone Work
Red Line Subway Trains Temporarily Rerouted to Elevated Tracks This Weekend
Service on the Red Line between the Fullerton and Cermak-Chinatown stations will be temporarily rerouted in both directions from the subway to the elevated tracks from 9 p.m. Friday, June 13 until 3 a.m. Monday, June 16.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
Bus shuttle service will also be available between select Red and Brown Line stations.

Next Week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Southbound Red Line trains will be rerouted to the elevated tracks from 9 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, June 16 through Thursday morning, June 19. Northbound service is not affected.
Southbound Red Line trains will operate normally between the Howard and Fullerton stations and between the Cermak-Chinatown and 95th stations.
Rerouted southbound trains will stop at the following elevated stations between Fullerton and Cermak-Chinatown: Armitage, Sedgwick, Chicago/Franklin, Merchandise Mart, Clark/Lake, State/Lake, Randolph/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Adams/Wabash and Roosevelt/Wabash.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
Next Week - Thursday
Northbound Red Line trains will be rerouted to the elevated tracks from 9 p.m. Thursday, June 19 to 5 a.m. the following morning. Southbound service is not affected.
Northbound Red Line trains will operate normally between the 95th and Cermak-Chinatown stations and between the Fullerton and Howard stations.
Rerouted northbound trains will stop at the following elevated stations between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton: Roosevelt/Wabash, Adams/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Randolph/Wabash, State/Lake, Clark/Lake, Merchandise Mart, Chicago/Franklin, Sedgwick and Armitage.

Northbound customers must board and exit trains from the Brown Line side of the platform. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Weekend Blue Line Service Between Jefferson Park and Harlem Temporarily Suspended
Rail service between the Jefferson Park and Harlem Blue Line stations will be temporarily suspended from 9 p.m. Friday, June 13 to 3 a.m. Monday, June 16, in order to replace deteriorated rail ties, tie plates and spikes.
Bus shuttles will operate as a substitute for rail service between the Jefferson Park and Harlem stations. Customers should allow extra travel time.

Southbound Single Track in Effect on O'Hare Branch of the Blue Line
From 8 p.m. Monday, June 16 until 4 a.m. the following morning, a single track will be in effect for southbound Blue Line trains between the Harlem and Jefferson Park stations. Southbound customers at the Harlem and Jefferson Park stations must board and exit trains from the northbound side of the platform. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
Single Track in Effect Between Jefferson Park and Montrose Next Week
A late night single track will be in effect between the Jefferson Park and Montrose Blue Line stations next week from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Tuesday, June 17 through Friday morning, June 20. Southbound customers at the Montrose station must board and exit trains from the northbound side of the platform.
CTA operators will announce the direction of each train. Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

A single track will be in effect for northbound Brown Line trains between the Southport and Addison stations from 4 a.m. Saturday, June 14 until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 15. During this time, northbound customers at the Southport and Addison stations must board and exit trains from the southbound platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Next Week
The northbound Brown Line single track between the Southport and Addison stations will continue each night next week from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, June 16 through Friday morning, June 20.
During this time, northbound customers at the Southport and Addison stations must board and exit trains from the southbound platform.

Late Night Single Track in Effect for Blue Line Subway This Weekend
A single track will be in effect for southbound Blue Line trains between the Damen and Grand stations from 11 p.m. Friday, June 13 to 7 a.m. the following morning. During this time, southbound customers at the Division, Chicago and Grand stations must board and exit trains on the northbound side of the platform.

A single track will be in effect for northbound Blue Line trains between the Grand and Damen stations from 9 p.m. Saturday, June 14 to 7 a.m. the following morning. During this time, northbound customers at the Grand, Chicago and Division stations must board and exit trains on the southbound side of the platform.

Single Track in Effect for Blue Line Subway Sunday Night
From 8 p.m. Sunday, June 15 until 4 a.m. the following morning, a single track will be in effect for southbound Blue Line subway trains between the Grand and LaSalle stations. During this time, Blue Line customers at the Clark/Lake, Washington, Monroe and Jackson stations must board and exit trains from the northbound side of the platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Brown Line - Other Events Affecting Service
Montrose Brown Line Stationhouse Temporarily Closed This Weekend
The main entrance to the Montrose Brown Line stationhouse will be temporarily closed for maintenance this weekend from 4 a.m. Saturday, June 14 until 4 a.m. Monday, June 16.
Trains will continue to serve Montrose station. Customers may use the auxiliary stairs located on the north side of the street to reach the platforms and access Brown Line trains.

Green Line - Other Events Affecting Service
Late Night Single Track in Effect on Green Line Beginning Sunday
A single track will be in effect between the Laramie and Austin Green Line stations for track maintenance and repair work. From 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Sunday, June 15 through Friday morning, June 20, northbound customers at the Laramie station must board and exit trains on the southbound platform.
Northbound customers at the Central station must board and exit trains from the southbound side of platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Red Line Single Track in Effect This Weekend
A single track will be in effect for northbound Red Line trains this weekend due to CTA track maintenance work. From 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on both Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15, northbound Red Line customers at the Fullerton station must board and exit trains from the Brown Line side of the platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Yellow Line - Other Events Affecting Service
Weekend Yellow Line Service Temporarily Interrupted for Grade Crossing Repairs
Rail and highway grade crossing replacement work will suspend Yellow Line weekend service and temporarily close the Skokie station, beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, June 13 until 4 a.m. Monday, June 16.
Customers are advised to use the #97 Skokie bus service as a substitute for Yellow Line service. The CTA will provide additional #97 Skokie buses to accommodate customers.
Customers will be able to transfer to Purple and Red Line trains at Howard station. Extra travel time is advisable.
Howard Terminal Rehabilitation Project
Weekend Platform Closure at Howard
Due to construction work associated with the Howard Terminal Rehabilitation project, the west platform where southbound customers normally board and exit will be out of service from 11 p.m. Friday, June 13 until 4 a.m. Monday, June 16.
During this time, all Red and Purple Line customers must board and exit trains from the east platform, where northbound customers normally board.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
New/Updated Changes in Bus Service
Bus Service Stop Relocated
Effective immediately, the eastbound near side bus stop on Lawrence at Sheridan served by the #81 Lawrence will be relocated to a far side service stop.
Bus Stops Along Solidarity Drive Temporarily Removed Due to Construction
Effective Friday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m., all bus stops along Solidarity Drive served by the #12 Roosevelt and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses will be temporarily removed due to construction.
Customers traveling to and from the Shedd Aquarium should exit and board #12 and #146 buses at McFetridge Drive.
CTA Buses Rerouted in the Loop Friday Night
Adams between Clark and Wells will be closed to all traffic from 7 p.m. Friday, June 13 until 6 a.m. the following morning. During this time, CTA buses will be temporarily rerouted to nearby streets.
Westbound #7 Harrison, #X28 Stony Island Express, #136 Jackson and #151 Sheridan buses will operate over the regular route to Adams and Dearborn then travel via Dearborn, Madison, Wacker to Adams and then resume the regular route.
Southbound #22 Clark and #24 Wentworth buses will travel over the regular route to Clark and Madison then operate via Madison, Wacker, Jackson to Clark and then resume the regular route.
Rogers Avenue Closure Reroutes #147, #151 and #201 Buses This Weekend
Due to Red Line Rehabilitation work, Rogers Avenue at the Red Line will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday, June 13 to 5 a.m. the following morning and then again 7 p.m. Sunday night, June 15 to 5 a.m. the following morning.
During these times northbound #147 Outer Drive Express, #151 Sheridan and #201 Central/Ridge buses will operate along the regular route to Howard and Rodgers then travel via Howard, Clark to Rodgers and resume the regular route.
#22 Clark Buses Rerouted for Annual Andersonville Midsommarfest
Clark Street between Foster and Catalpa will be closed to all traffic from 2 a.m. Saturday, June 14 until 12 a.m. Monday, June 16. During this time #22 Clark buses operating in both directions along Clark to Bryn Mawr, then operate via Bryn Mawr, Ashland, Foster to Clark and then resume the regular route.
#152 Addison Buses Rerouted at Addison-Brown Line Station
Due to Brown Line rehabilitation work, Addison Street at the Brown Line will be closed to all traffic from 4 a.m. Saturday, June 14 until 6 p.m. Sunday, June 15.
During this time, #152 Addison buses operating in both directions will travel along Addison to Damen and then operate via Damen, Belmont, Ashland to Addison and then resume the regular route.
Annual Puerto Rican Parade Reroutes CTA Buses
From 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14, Columbus Drive will be closed between Monroe and Roosevelt; and Monroe Drive will be closed between Lake Shore Drive and Michigan Avenue for the annual Puerto Rican Parade.
During this time the #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffery Express, #130 Grant Park Treasures and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses will be rerouted in both directions to operate via Roosevelt and Michigan during the parade.
5K Race Closes Downtown Streets on Saturday
Grand Avenue between DesPlaines and Orleans, DesPlaines between Grand and Fulton, and Fulton between DesPlaines and Carpenter will be closed from 8:15 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 14 for the Children's Memorial Hospital's Loop-the-Loop 5K race.
#8 Halsted buses will reroute in both directions via Halsted, Madison, Ashland, Grand to Halsted, then resume the regular route.
Northwest-bound #56 Milwaukee buses will travel over the regular route on Madison to Ashland then operate via Ashland, Grand to Milwaukee and then resume the regular route.
Southeast-bound #56 Milwaukee buses will travel over the regular route on Milwaukee to Grand then operate via Grand, Ashland, Warren, Washington past DesPlaines and then resume the regular route along Washington.
#65 Grand buses will reroute in both directions via Grand to Halsted and then travel via Halsted, Chicago, LaSalle, Illinois then resume the regular route.
#70 Division Buses Rerouted for the Puerto Rican Youth Parade & Jamboree
On Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Division Street between Western and California will be closed for the annual Puerto Rican Youth Parade & Jamboree.
#70 Division buses operating in both directions will travel along Division to Western and then operate via Western, Augusta, California to Division and resume the regular route.
Late Night Street Closure Reroutes Downtown Buses
From 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on both Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15, Chicago Avenue between Orleans and Wells will be closed while crews paint the Brown Line elevated structure.
Southbound #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick buses will operate over the regular route along Chicago Avenue to Orleans then operate via Orleans, Erie, Wells and then resume the regular route.
#66 Chicago buses will operate in both directions via Chicago, Orleans, Erie, Wells to Chicago and then resume the regular route.
Howard Street Closure Reroutes #201 Central/Ridge Buses Saturday Night
Howard Street at the Red Line will be closed from 7 p.m. Saturday, June 14 to 5 a.m. Sunday, June 15 due to Red Line Rehabilitation work.
Westbound #201 Central/Ridge buses will operate over the regular route along Ashland to Howard and then travel via Howard, Rogers, Sheridan, Howard, Rogers to Howard via the Howard Terminal and then resume the regular route.
Helicopter Lift Temporarily Reroutes Loop Buses on Sunday
Due to a helicopter lift on Sunday, June 15, State Street between Madison and Monroe and Madison Street between Wabash and Dearborn will be closed from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
Also on Sunday, Monroe will be closed between Wabash and Dearborn from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
During these times, the following 14 bus routes will be temporarily rerouted to nearby streets: #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffrey Express, #20 Madison, #29 State, #36 Broadway, #56 Milwaukee, #60 Blue Island/26th, #62 Archer, #124 Navy Pier, #145 Wilson/Michigan Express, #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, #147 Outer Drive Express and #151 Sheridan.
Railroad Bridge Repairs Reroute #75 74th/75th Buses
Due to railroad bridge repair work in the 7500 block of South Loomis Street, #75 74th/75th buses will be rerouted beginning Sunday, June 15 until Wednesday, December 31, 2008.
#75 buses operating in both directions will travel along 74th Street to Ashland then will operate via Ashland, 76th, Racine to 74th and then resume the regular route.
#53 Pulaski Buses Rerouted
From 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day beginning Monday, June 16 until Friday, July 4, #53 Pulaski buses will be rerouted due to sewer repair work.
#53 buses operating in both directions will operate over the regular route along Pulaski to 26th and then will travel via 26th, Central Park, 31st to Pulaski and then resume the regular route.
Ongoing Bus Reroutes
Buses Rerouted on Ridge Avenue Due to Road Reconstruction
Due to road reconstruction on Ridge Avenue between Howard Street and Main Street, the #201 Central Ridge and #206 Evanston Circulator buses will be rerouted until 5 a.m. Thursday, July 31.
Southbound #201 and #206 buses will travel along Ridge then will operate via Main, Asbury, Howard, Ridge and then resume the regular route.
Buses Reroute for Construction Through September
#87 87th buses continue to be rerouted in both directions until 5 a.m. Wednesday, September 17 due to street reconstruction.
Eastbound buses will travel over the regular route to Vincennes then will operate via Vincennes, 83rd, Lafayette then return to 87th and resume the regular route. Westbound buses will travel over the regular route to State then will operate via State, 83rd, Vincennes then return to 87th and resume the regular route.
Buses Rerouted on Saturdays for the Near North Farmer's Market
From 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. every Saturday through October 25, Division Street between State and Clark will be closed for the Near North Farmer's Market.
During this time, southbound #36 Broadway buses will travel over the regular route to Clark then will operate via Clark, Maple to State and then resume the regular route. Northbound #36 buses will operate over the regular route to State then will travel via State, Elm to Clark and then resume the regular route.
Eastbound #70 Division buses will travel over the regular route to Division and then will operate via Division, Clark, Maple to Dearborn and resume the regular route. Westbound service is not affected.
Buses Reroute Downtown for Construction
From midnight each night until 6 a.m. the following morning Randolph Street will be closed from State to Dearborn through Saturday, November 1.
In addition, Dearborn Street is closed between Washington and Randolph from 9 p.m. each day until 6 a.m. the following morning through Saturday, November 1.
Northbound #22 Clark, #36 Broadway and #62 Archer buses will travel over the regular route along Dearborn to Monroe and will then operate via Monroe, State, Wacker to Dearborn and then resume the regular route.
Bridge Reconstruction Reroutes Buses
Reroute of #205 Chicago/Golf buses will continue until November 16, due to bridge reconstruction on Emerson between Leland and McCormick.
#205 Buses will operate in both directions via Church, McCormick to Golf and then resume the regular route.
Buses Rerouted on Harrison Due to Construction
Harrison Street between Paulina Street and Ashland Avenue continues to be closed until Thursday, January 1, 2009, due to the construction of the Harrison Street Tunnel. During this time, eastbound #7 Harrison and #126 Jackson buses will be rerouted.
Eastbound #7 buses will travel over the regular route to Paulina then will operate via Polk, Ashland to Harrison and resume the regular route.
Eastbound #126 buses will travel over the regular route to Harrison then will operate via Harrison, Wood, Polk, Ashland to Harrison and resume the regular route.
Buses Reroute at Clark and Polk
Until further notice, #22 Clark and #36 Broadway buses will be rerouted in the area of Clark and Polk streets and will not be providing any service south of Harrison.
Southbound #22 Clark customers traveling to Polk will need to transfer to a #24 Wentworth bus prior to Congress (or a #129 West Loop/South Loop bus available only on weekdays during the morning and evening rush periods) to complete their trip.
Southbound #36 Broadway customers traveling to Polk will need to transfer to a #29 State or #62 Archer bus prior to Congress to complete their trip.
Both northbound #22 and #36 customers can board buses north of Harrison on Dearborn.
Bus Service Changes Due to Construction at State and Grand
#36 Broadway and southbound #29 State buses are rerouting until further notice at Grand Avenue and State Street due to construction at the Red Line's Grand station.
Southbound #36 and #29 buses will travel over the regular route to Grand then will operate via Clark to Illinois then return to State and resume the regular route.
Northbound #36 buses will travel over the regular route to Dearborn then will operate via Dearborn to Ohio, then return to State and resume the regular route.
Buses Reroute Due to Construction
Halsted is closed at Root Street between the hours of 6 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. each day until further notice, due to construction.
#43 43rd buses will operate in both directions via Halsted, 45th Street, Morgan to Exchange and then resume the regular route.
#60 Blue Island/26th Buses Rerouted Due to Lane Closure
Until further notice, Laflin Street between Cermak and 21st Place will be closed to all traffic due to construction at Benito Juarez School.
#60 Blue Island/26th buses operating in both directions will travel over the regular route to Cermak then will operate via Cermak, Loomis, 21st Street then return to Laflin and resume the regular route.
