Events Affecting CTA Service Beginning the Weekend of September 9 ? 11

Lincoln and Leland Closed for German-American Festival through Monday
Leland will be closed between Lincoln and Western in the 4600 and 4700 North blocks until noon on Monday, September 12. #11 Lincoln (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via Western, Leland, Montrose, back to Lincoln, then resume the regular route.

#49B North Western (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via Western, Montrose, Lincoln, Wilson, back to Western, then resume the regular route.

18th Street Closed for Mexican Independence Day Parade Saturday
18th Street will be closed between Newberry and Wolcott from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 10. #9 Ashland (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via Ashland, Cermak, Halsted, Roosevelt, back to Ashland, then resume the regular route.

#18 16th/18th (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via 18th, Damen, Cermak, Halsted, back to 18th, then resume the regular route.

Eastbound #60 Blue Island/26th (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via Cermak, Halsted to Roosevelt, then resume the regular route.

Longer Purple Line Trains Provided for Northwestern Wildcats Football Saturday
The Northwestern Wildcats host the Northern Illinois University Huskies at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 10. Longer Purple Line trains will begin operating at 1 p.m. and after the game as crowds warrant. Ryan Field is just west of the Purple Line's Central station in Evanston.

State Street Closed for Water Main Installation through September
State Street is closed at the 8800 block of South State through September 30 for a water main installation at the Dan Ryan Expressway. #29 State Street (accessible) buses are operating northbound via State, 91st, Indiana, 88th, then resuming the regular route. State will be open to traffic during the morning rush period from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Work will be performed between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Additional Service Provided for Rolling Stones Concert at Soldier Field Saturday
Additional service will be provided on three CTA bus routes for the Rolling Stones concert at Soldier Field Saturday, September 10. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m.

Additional service will begin on the #12 Roosevelt (accessible) route at 4 p.m. and operate until one hour after the concert ends.

Special service will operate on the #130 Grant Park Treasures (accessible) route from Ogilvie Transportation Center from 3:15 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and from Union Station from 3:18 p.m. until 6:33 p.m. Buses will operate from Soldier Field for one hour after the concert ends.

Additional service will begin on the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express (accessible) route at 3:30 p.m. from the Berwyn Red Line station and will operate for one hour after the concert ends.

Longer trains will operate on the Blue, Brown, Green and Orange Lines. Longer trains and more frequent service will operate on the Red Line.

Maintenance Work Temporarily Closes Addison Platform and Stairway on the Brown Line Sunday
Maintenance work will temporarily close the southbound platform and stairway at Addison on the Brown Line from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, September 11. As a result southbound trains will not stop at Addison. Southbound customers who wish to exit at Addison will need to travel to the Paulina station and transfer to northbound trains back to Addison.

26th Street Closed for Mexican Independence Day Parade Sunday26th Street will be closed between California and Kostner from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, September 11. #52 Kedzie/California (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via Kedzie, 31st, California, Cermak, back to Kedzie, then resume the regular route.

#53 Pulaski (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via 31st, Kostner, Ogden, back to Pulaski, then resume the regular route.

#60 Blue Island/26th (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via 26th, California, Cermak, Ogden, back to 26th, then resume the regular route.

#82 Kimball/Homan (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via 31st, Kostner, Ogden, Cermak to Central Park, then resume the regular route.

Division Street Bridge over the Chicago River Closes for Repairs Beginning Tuesday
The Division Street bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. from Tuesday, September 13 through Thursday, September 15. #70 Division (accessible) buses will operate in both directions via Division, Elston, Milwaukee, Chicago, Halsted, back to Division, then resume the regular route.

Main Street Closed for Purple Line Viaduct Repairs
Main Street in Evanston is closed at the Purple Line viaduct until late October. #200 Main Shuttle (accessible) buses are operating in a one-way loop via Main, Ridge, Greenleaf, Chicago, back to Main.

Red Line Work:

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line over the Weekend
Due to the rehabilitation of the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect northbound between Garfield and 33rd from 8 p.m. Friday, September 9 until 8 a.m. Saturday, September 10.

Maintenance Temporarily Closes Red Line Platform over the Weekend
Platform rehabilitation will temporarily close the northbound platform at the 47th station on the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, September 10. As a result, northbound customers who wish to exit at 47th will need to travel to Sox-35th and transfer to northbound trains back to 47th.

The southbound platform will be closed from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday, September 11. As a result, southbound customers who wish to exit at 47th, will need to Garfield and transfer to northbound trains back to 47th.

Overnight Track Maintenance Temporarily Closes Three Southbound Red Line Platforms Beginning Friday
Track maintenance on the north end of the Red Line will take place from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. each night Friday night, September 9 and again from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. each night from Sunday, September 11 through Thursday, September 15. As a result, southbound trains will not stop at the Jarvis, Morse and Loyola stations. During these hours, customers who wish to exit at those stations will need to travel to the Granville station and transfer to northbound trains back to those stations.
