Blue Line – Events Affecting Service

Daytime Boarding Changes at the California Station on Sunday

All Blue Line trains will be routed to operate on the northbound (to O’Hare) tracks at the California station from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, September 11, while crews replace portions of the third rail.
 
Southbound (to Forest Park) customers at the California station must board and exit trains from the northbound (to O’Hare) platform.
 
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
 

Late Night Boarding Changes at Harlem on the O’Hare Branch

All late night Blue Line trains will be routed to operate on the northbound (to O’Hare) tracks between the Cumberland and Harlem stations on the O’Hare branch from 11 p.m. Friday, September 9 until 4 a.m. the following morning, due to track maintenance work.
 
Southbound (to Forest Park) customers at the Harlem station must board and exit trains from the northbound (to O’Hare) side of the platform.
 
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
 
Next Week
From 11 p.m. each night until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Sunday night, September 11 through Wednesday morning, September 14, all late night Blue Line trains will be routed to operate on the northbound (to O’Hare) tracks between the Cumberland and Harlem stations on the O’Hare branch as track maintenance work continues.
 
Southbound (to Forest Park) customers at the Harlem station must board and exit trains from the northbound (to O’Hare) side of the platform.
 
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
 

Early Thursday Morning Boarding Changes at Harlem on the O’Hare Branch

All Blue Line trains will be routed to operate on the northbound (to O’Hare) tracks between the Cumberland and Harlem stations on the O’Hare branch from 1 a.m. until 4 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, due to track maintenance work.
 
Southbound (to Forest Park) customers at the Harlem station must board and exit trains from the northbound (to O’Hare) side of the platform.
 
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
 

Red Line – Events Affecting Service

Late Night Trains Operating on Same Tracks at the 69th Street Station

All late night Red Line trains will be routed to operate on the northbound (to Howard) tracks at the 69th Street station this weekend and next week due to track maintenance work.
 
Friday Night
From 10 p.m. Friday, September 9 until 6 a.m. the following morning, southbound (to 95th/Dan Ryan) customers at the 69th Street station must board and exit trains from the northbound (to Howard) side of the platform.
 
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
 
Sunday Night
From 10 p.m. Sunday, September 11 until 4:30 a.m. the following morning, southbound (to 95th/Dan Ryan) customers at the 69th Street station must board and exit trains from the northbound (to Howard) side of the platform.
 
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
 
Next Week
From 10:30 p.m. each night until 4:30 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday night September 12 through Friday morning, September 16, southbound (to 95th/Dan Ryan) customers at the 69th Street station must board and exit trains from the northbound (to Howard) side of the platform.
 
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Service Changes for Independence Day Festivities

Longer Trains Operating on Orange and Pink Lines This Weekend for Mexican and Central America Independence Day Parades

To accommodate an increase in customers traveling to and from the Mexican and Central America Independence Day parades this weekend (September 10-11), the CTA will operate longer trains along the Orange and Pink lines during the following times:
 
  • Orange Line: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Pink Line: Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 

Currently in Effect: Festival de la Villita Detours #60 Blue Island/26th Buses

Currently in effect until 3 a.m. Monday, September 12, #60 Blue Island/26th buses are being detoured due to the closure of 26th Street between Kostner and Ogden for the annual Festival de la Villita.
 
Westbound #60 buses are operating over the regular route along 26th Street to Kostner then are traveling via Kostner, Ogden to Cicero and resuming the regular route north along Cicero to the terminal at Cicero/24th Place before beginning eastbound service.
 
Eastbound #60 buses are traveling over the regular route along Cicero to Ogden then are operating via Ogden, Kostner to 26th Street and resuming the regular route.
 
NOTE: #60 Blue Island/26th buses will undergo further rerouting on Sunday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. due to the 26th Street Mexican Independence Day parade. See reroute details below.
 

Saturday: Mexican Independence Day Parade in Grant Park Detours Three Routes

On Saturday, September 10 from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m., #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry and #14 Jeffery Express buses will be rerouted due to the closure of Columbus Drive between Balbo and Roosevelt, and Balbo Drive between Michigan and Lake Shore Drive for the Mexican Independence Day parade.
 
Northbound #6, #10 and #14 buses will travel over their regular routes along Columbus to Roosevelt then will operate via Roosevelt to Michigan and resume their regular routes.
 
Southbound #6, #10 and #14 buses will operate via Michigan, Roosevelt to Columbus and then will resume their regular routes.
 

Saturday: Pilsen Mexican Independence Day Parade Detours Three Routes

On Saturday, September 10 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., #9 Ashland, #18 16th/18th Street and #60 Blue Island/26th buses will be rerouted due to the closure of 18th Street between Newberry and Wolcott for the Pilsen Mexican Independence Day parade.
 
Participants will begin assembling at 10 a.m. The parade will step-off at noon.
 
Northbound #9 buses will operate over the regular route along Ashland to Cermak then will travel via Cermak, Damen, Roosevelt to Ashland and then resume the regular route. Southbound #9 buses will travel the reverse route.
 
Eastbound #18 buses will travel over the regular route along 18th Street to Damen then will operate via Damen, Cermak to Halsted and then resume the regular route past 18th Street. Westbound #18 buses will travel the reverse route.
 
Eastbound #60 buses will operate over the regular route along Cermak past Loomis to Halsted then will travel via Halsted, Roosevelt to Racine and then resume the regular route. Westbound #60 buses will travel the reverse route.
 

Sunday: 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade Detours Four Routes

From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, September 11, #52 Kedzie/California, #53 Pulaski, #60 Blue Island/26th and #82 Kimball/Homan buses will be detoured due to the closure of 26th Street between California and Kostner for the 26th Street Mexican Independence Day parade. 
 
Participants will begin assembling at 6 a.m. The parade will step-off at noon.
 
#52 Kedzie/California
Southbound #52 buses will travel over the regular route along Kedzie to Cermak then will operate via Cermak, Marshall, 24th Boulevard, California, 36th Place, Albany, 36th Street to Kedzie and then resume the regular route.
 
Northbound #52 buses will operate over the regular route along Kedzie to 36th Street then will travel via 36th Street, California, 24th Boulevard, Marshall, Cermak to Kedzie and then resume the regular route.
 
#53 Pulaski
Southbound #53 buses only will travel to Pulaski/Cermak before turning to begin northbound service. Northbound #53 buses will begin service from Pulaski/Cermak and will operate north on Pulaski over the regular route.
 
#53 Pulaski – Short-Run Service Only
Southbound #53 buses that only operate between Pulaski/Cermak and 31st Street/Komensky will travel over the regular route along Pulaski to Ogden then will operate via Ogden, Cicero, 31st Street to the terminal at 31st/Komensky.
 
Northbound #53 short-run buses will depart from the terminal and travel west on 31st Street to Cicero then will operate via Cicero, Ogden, Kostner, Cermak to Pulaski and then resume the regular route.
 
#60 Blue Island/26th
Westbound #60 buses will operate along 26th Street to California then will travel via California, 24th Boulevard, Marshall, Cermak, Cicero to the terminal at Cicero/24th Place. Eastbound #60 buses will travel the reverse route.
 
#82 Kimball-Homan
Southbound #82 buses only will travel to Central Park/Ogden before turning to begin northbound service. Northbound #82 buses will travel north on Central Park over the regular route.
 
#82 Kimball-Homan – Short-Run Service Only
Southbound #82 Kimball-Homan buses that only operate between Central Park/Cermak and Central Park/31st Street will depart from Central Park/Cermak then will travel via Cermak, Ogden, Cicero, 31st Street to the terminal at 31st/Lawndale.
 
Northbound #82 short-run buses will depart from the 31st/Lawndale terminal and operate via 31st Street, Cicero, Ogden, Cermak to the Central Park/Cermak terminal.
 

Sunday: Central American Parade Detours Two Routes

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, September 11, #78 Montrose and #82 Kimball/Homan buses will be detoured due to the closure of Montrose Avenue between California and Kimball for the Central American Parade.
 
Eastbound #78 buses will travel over the regular route along Montrose to Elston then will operate via Elston, Irving Park, Western to Montrose and then resume the regular route. Westbound #78 buses will travel the reverse route.
 
Southbound #82 buses will travel over the regular route along Kimball to Lawrence then will operate via Lawrence, Pulaski, Elston, Irving Park to Kimball and then resume the regular route. Northbound #82 buses will travel the reverse route.
 

Sunday: South Chicago Mexican Independence Day Parade Detours Four Routes

From noon until 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, #30 South Chicago, #71 71st/South Shore, #87 87th Street and #95E 93rd/95th buses will be rerouted for the South Chicago Mexican Independence Day Parade.
 
Participants will assemble along 83rd Street between South Shore and Commercial beginning at noon. The parade will step-off at 2 p.m. and will proceed south on Commercial Avenue to 100th Street.
 
Northbound #30 buses will operate over the regular route to 92nd Street/Houston before turning to begin southbound service. From 92nd Street/Houston, southbound #30 buses will travel via Houston, 93rd Street, Baltimore, 92nd Street to Houston and resume the regular route.
 
Southbound #71 buses will travel over the regular route along 83rd Street past Exchange to South Chicago then will operate via South Chicago, Exchange, 93rd Street, Colfax to Torrence and then resume the regular route south of 104th Street. Northbound #71 buses will travel the reverse route.
 
Eastbound #87 87th buses will operate over the regular route along 87th to South Chicago then will travel via South Chicago, Exchange to 92nd Street before turning to begin westbound service. Westbound #87 buses will travel north on South Chicago to 87th Street then resume the regular route along 87th Street.
 
Eastbound #95E 93rd/95th buses only will operate along 92nd Street to Exchange before turning to begin westbound service. Westbound #95E buses will travel south on Exchange over the regular route.
 

New/Updated Changes in Bus Service

Reroute for Northbound #86 Narragansett/Ridgeland Buses

Currently in effect until approximately 4 p.m. Friday, September 9, northbound #86 Narragansett/Ridgeland buses are unable to enter the main entrance to Wilbur Wright College due to an ADA ramp and sidewalk reconstruction project.
 
Northbound #86 buses are traveling over the regular route along Narragansett past Wright College Drive to Montrose where they are making a near side service stop. From Narragansett/Montrose, buses are continuing north along Narragansett over the regular route. Southbound #86 buses are not affected and are traveling over the regular route.
 

Restoration of #52 Kedzie/California Bus Stops

Currently in effect, the following #52 Kedzie/California bus stops have been returned to their original locations following the completion of nearby construction work:
 
  • Kedzie/24th Street: the northbound near side stop has been returned to a far side stop.
  • Kedzie/23rd Street: the northbound far side stop has been returned to a near side stop.
 

Railroad Crossing Repairs Detour #9 Ashland Buses

Currently in effect until approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, September 15, #9 Ashland buses are being detoured due to railroad crossing repairs at Ashland/89th Street.
 
Southbound #9 buses are operating over the regular route along Ashland to 87th Street then are traveling via 87th Street, Western, 95th Street to Ashland and resuming the regular route. Northbound #9 buses are traveling the reverse route.
 

Two Bus Routes Detoured for the Annual German-American Festival

Currently in effect until approximately noon Monday, September 12, #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick and #49B North Western buses are being rerouted due to the closure of Leland Avenue between Western and Lincoln, and Lincoln Avenue between Leland and Wilson for the annual German-American Festival.
 
Southbound #11 buses are traveling over the regular route along Western past Leland to Wilson then are operating via Wilson to Lincoln and resuming the regular route. Northbound #11 buses are traveling the reverse route.
 
Southbound #49B buses are traveling over the regular route along Western past Leland to Montrose then are operating via Montrose, Lincoln, Wilson, Western to Western/Leland before beginning northbound service. From Western/Leland, northbound #49B buses are traveling over the regular route.
 

Lakeview East Fine Arts Festival Detours #36 Broadway Buses This Weekend

From 5 p.m. Friday, September 9 until approximately 5 a.m. Monday, September 12, #36 Broadway buses will be rerouted due to the closure of Broadway between Belmont and Roscoe for the Lakeview East Fine Arts Festival.
 
Northbound #36 buses will operate over the regular route along Broadway to Belmont then will travel via Belmont, Sheridan, Inner lake Shore Drive, Addison to Broadway and then resume the regular route. Southbound #36 buses will travel the reverse route. 
 

Annual Auburn Gresham 79th Street Renaissance Festival Detours #79 79th Buses

From 7 p.m. Friday, September 9 until approximately 11 p.m. Saturday, September 10, #79 79th Street buses will be detoured due to the closure of 79th Street between Racine and Laflin for the annual Auburn Gresham 79th Street Renaissance Festival.
 
Westbound #79 79th buses will travel over the regular route along 79th Street to Racine and then will operate via Racine, 76th Street, Ashland to 79th Street and then resume the regular route. Eastbound #79 buses will travel the reverse route.
 

Renegade Craft Fair Detours #70 Division Buses This Weekend

Division Street will be closed between Damen and Hermitage from 1 a.m. Saturday, September 10 until approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, for the annual Renegade Craft Fair. Due to this street closure, #70 Division buses will be rerouted. 
 
Eastbound #70 buses will operate over the regular route along Division to Damen then will travel via Damen, Augusta, Ashland to Division and then resume the regular route. Westbound #70 buses will travel the reverse route.
 

Von Steuben Day Parade Temporarily Detours Four Routes on Saturday

From 1 p.m. until approximately 3 p.m. Saturday, September 10, #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick, #49 Western, #49B North Western (northbound only) and #78 Montrose buses will be detoured due to the closure of Lincoln Avenue between Irving Park and Wilson, and the northbound lanes of Western Avenue between Wilson and Lawrence for the annual Von Steuben Day Parade.
 
Northbound #11 buses will operate over the regular route along Lincoln to Damen then will travel via Damen, Lawrence to Western and then resume the regular route. Southbound #11 buses will travel the reverse route.
 
Northbound #49 buses will travel over the regular route along Western to Irving Park, then will operate via Irving Park, Damen, Lawrence to Western and then resume the regular route. Southbound #49 buses are not affected and will travel over the regular route.
 
Southbound #49B buses will operate over the regular route along Western to Foster then will travel via Foster, Lincoln to Western before beginning northbound service. From Western/Winnemac, northbound #49B buses will travel north on Western over the regular route.
 
Eastbound #78 buses will travel over the regular route along Montrose to Western then will operate via Western, Irving Park, Damen to Montrose and resume the regular route. Westbound #78 buses will travel the reverse route.
 

Chicago Half Marathon & 5K Detours Seven Routes on Sunday

From 6:30 a.m. until approximately 11:30 a.m. Sunday, September 11, the following seven bus routes that operate in the Jackson Park area will be subject to detours due to the annual Chicago Half Marathon & 5K. Routes affected are: #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffery Express, #15 Jeffery Local, #28 Stony Island, #55 Garfield and #67 67th/69th/71st.
 
Participants will assemble at the intersection of Cornell/Hayes. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. and will circle Jackson Park, Jackson Park Golf Course, Jackson Park Harbors and Lake Shore Drive.
 
The following reroutes may go into effect intermittently due to street closures:
 
#6 Jackson Park Express
Northbound #6 buses will operate over the regular route along 71st Streert past South Shore to Cottage Grove then will travel via Cottage Grove, 55th Street, Lake Park, 56th Street to Hyde Park and resume the regular route until they reach Lake Park/47th Street then will be rerouted again and travel via 47th Street, King Drive, Cermak to Michigan and then resume the regular route north of Balbo. Southbound #6 buses will travel the reverse route.
 
#10 Museum of Science & Industry
Southbound #10 buses will travel over the regular route along Balbo to Michigan then will operate via Michigan, 47th Street, Lake Park, 56th Street, Hyde Park to Hyde Park/55th Street before beginning northbound service.
 
From Hyde Park/55th Street, northbound #10 buses will continue north on Hyde Park to Lake Park then will operate via Lake Park, 47th Street, King Drive, Cermak, Michigan to Balbo and then resume the regular route.
 
#14 Jeffery Express
Northbound #14 buses will travel over the regular route along Jeffery to 67th Street then will operate via 67th Street, King Drive, Cermak, Michigan to Balbo and then resume the regular route. Southbound #14 buses will travel the reverse route.
 
#15 Jeffery Local and #28 Stony Island
Northbound #15 and #28 buses will operate over their regular routes to 67th Street/Stony Island then will travel via 67th Street, Cottage Grove, 55th Street to Lake Park and then resume their regular routes. Southbound #15 and #28 buses will travel the reverse route.
 
#55 Garfield
Eastbound #55 buses will travel over the regular route along 55th Street to Lake Park then will operate via Lake Park, 56th Street, Hyde Park to 55th Street before beginning westbound service. From Lake Park/55th Street, westbound #55 buses will operate west along Hyde Park over the regular route.
 
#67 67th/69th/71st
Eastbound #67 buses will be unable to travel to 67th Street/South Shore and will instead travel to 67th Street/Stony Island before turning to begin westbound service. From 67th Street/Stony Island, westbound #67 buses will travel over the regular route.
 

Ongoing Bus Service Changes

Water Department Project on Madison Detours Two Westbound Bus Routes

Currently in effect until approximately 6 a.m. Monday, September 12, westbound #19 United Center Express and #20 Madison buses are being rerouted due to a Water Department project on Madison between LaSalle and Franklin that is expected to result in heavy traffic congestion.
 
Westbound #19 and #20 buses will instead travel along Madison to LaSalle then will operate via LaSalle, Randolph, Clinton to Madison and then resume the regular route. Eastbound #19 and #20 buses are not affected and will travel over their regular routes.
 
(NOTE: this reroute supersedes the reroute previously in place for westbound #19 and #20 buses as part of the Stage II Wacker Drive detours)
 

Temporary Changes to #80 Irving Park Bus Stops

Currently in effect until approximately 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, the following changes have been made to bus stops along the #80 Irving Park bus route due to a streetscape project on Irving Park between Kostner and Kilpatrick:
 
  • Irving Park/Kostner: the westbound far side stop has been relocated to a near side stop.
  • Irving Park/Kilbourn: the westbound far side stop has been temporarily removed from service.
 

#26 South Shore Express and #30 South Chicago Buses Detoured

Currently in effect until approximately 2 p.m. Friday, September 16, #26 South Shore Express and #30 South Chicago buses are being detoured due to the closure of the 92nd Street Bridge over the Calumet River for repair work.
 
Southbound #26 and #30 buses are traveling over their regular routes along 91st Street to Mackinaw then are operating via Mackinaw, Harbor, South Chicago, 95th Street to Ewing and then resuming their regular routes. Northbound #26 and #30 buses are traveling the reverse route.
 

Temporary Relocation of #93 California/Dodge Bus Stop at Lawrence/Christiana

Currently in effect until approximately 4 p.m. Friday, September 16, the northbound near side stop at Lawrence/Christiana has been temporarily relocated 60 feet east from the original location. This stop is served by #93 California/Dodge buses.
 

Repairs to Bridge Detour #111 Pullman/111th/115th Buses

Currently in effect until approximately 4 p.m. Friday, September 30, #111 Pullman/111th/115th buses are being detoured from Cottage Grove between 98th Street and 100th Place due to bridge repair work.
 
Southbound #111 buses are traveling over the regular route along 95th Street to King Drive then operating via King Drive, 100th Street to Cottage Grove and resuming the regular route. Northbound #111 buses are traveling the reverse route.
 

Near North Farmer’s Market Detours #36 Broadway and #70 Division Buses

From 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. every Saturday through October 29, #36 Broadway and #70 Division buses will be detoured due to the closure of Division Street between State and Clark for the Near North Farmer’s Market.
 
Southbound #36 buses will travel over the regular route along Clark past Division to Maple then will operate via Maple to State and then resume the regular route. Northbound #36 buses will operate over the regular route along State to Elm then will travel via Elm to Clark and then resume the regular route.
 
Eastbound #70 buses will travel over the regular route along Division to Clark and then will operate via Clark, Maple to Dearborn and then resume the regular route. Westbound #70 buses are not affected and will travel over the regular route. 
 

Temporary Removal of Bus Stop at Stony Island/83rd Street

Currently in effect until approximately 4 p.m. Friday, November 18, the northbound near side stop at Stony Island/83rd Street has been temporarily removed from service due to a water management construction project. This stop is served by #28 Stony Island and #X28 Stony Island Express buses.
 

Construction Detours #20 Madison and #90 Harlem Buses Until December

Currently in effect until Friday, December 2, eastbound #20 Madison (Owl service) buses and #90 Harlem buses are being detoured due to the closure of North Boulevard and South Boulevard between Marion and Home for a construction project.
 
Eastbound #20 (Owl service) buses are operating over the regular route along Harlem past North Boulevard to Washington then are traveling via Washington, Maple, Randolph, Harlem to Lake and resuming the regular route. Westbound #20 (Owl service) buses are not affected and are traveling over the regular route.
 
Southbound #90 buses are traveling over the regular route along Harlem past North Boulevard to Washington then are operating via Washington, Maple, Randolph, Harlem to Harlem/South Boulevard before beginning northbound service. From Harlem/South Boulevard, northbound #90 buses are traveling north on Harlem over the regular route.
 

Lane Restrictions near State and Grand Detour #29 State and #36 Broadway Buses

Due to lane restrictions associated with the Grand Red Line rehabilitation project at the northwest corner of State and Grand, #29 State and #36 Broadway buses are being detoured to adjacent streets until further notice.
 
Southbound #29 buses are operating over the regular route along Grand past State to Clark then traveling via Clark, Illinois to State and resuming the regular route. Northbound #29 buses are traveling along the remaining open lane along State and over the regular route.
 
Southbound #36 buses are traveling over the regular route along State to Ontario then are operating via Ontario, Clark, Illinois to State and resuming the regular route. Northbound #36 buses are operating over the regular route along Dearborn past Illinois to Ohio then traveling via Ohio to State and resuming the regular route.
 

Changes in Service along #8 Halsted Route for Bridge Reconstruction Project

Currently in effect until late-December 2011, Halsted Street between Division and the north branch of the Chicago River is closed due to a bridge reconstruction project.
 
Northbound #8 Halsted buses are traveling over the regular route along Halsted past Chicago to North Branch then are operating via North Branch, Cherry, Division to Halsted and then resuming the regular route. Southbound #8 buses are traveling the reverse route.
 
Changes to Bus Stops
  • Halsted/North Branch: the northbound far side stop on Halsted has been temporarily relocated to a far side stop on North Branch at Halsted.
  • Halsted/Division: the southbound far side stop has been temporarily relocated to a near side stop.
 

Service Changes to 14 Downtown Bus Routes for Stage II of Wacker Drive Project

Currently in effect, changes in service have been made to 14 CTA bus routes that operate in the downtown area near Wacker Drive and Madison due to work associated with Stage II of the Wacker Drive construction project.
 
Construction on Wacker Drive will result in changes along the following routes: 
 
#11 Lincoln/Sedgwick (bus stops only)
#121 Union/Wacker Express
#14 Jeffery Express
#122 Illinois Center/Ogilvie Express
#19 United Center Express
#123 Illinois Center/Union Express
#20 Madison
#124 Navy Pier

#125 Water Tower Express

Service Adjustments Due to the Congress/Wacker Construction Project

Due to the Congress/Wacker Construction Project, Franklin Street between Harrison and Van Buren and Lower Wacker Drive between Randolph and Harrison are closed until May 2012. As a result of these closures and other street reconfigurations, the following changes in bus service currently are in effect:
 
#11 Lincoln/Sedgwick
Northbound #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick buses are traveling over the regular route along Harrison to Canal then are operating via Canal, Jackson to Franklin and resuming the regular route. Southbound #11 buses are not affected and are traveling over the regular route.
 
The following temporary changes also have been made to bus stops served by northbound #11 buses:
 
  • Canal/Harrison: a far side stop has been added to service.
  • Canal/Jackson: a near side stop has been added to service.
  • Jackson at the Chicago River: a near side stop has been added to service.
  • 404 W. Harrison: the mid-block stop has been removed from service.
  • Franklin/Van Buren: the far side stop has been removed from service.
 
#121 Union/Wacker Express
Northbound #121 Union/Wacker Express buses are operating over the regular route along Jackson past Wacker to Franklin then are traveling via Franklin, Lake, Post Place to Lower Wacker and then resuming the regular route.
 
Southbound #121 buses are operating over the regular route along Grand to Wabash then traveling via Wabash, Wacker, Franklin to Adams and then resuming the regular route.
 
#135 Clarendon/LaSalle Express
From Union Station, northbound #135 Clarendon/LaSalle Express buses are traveling south on Wacker to Jackson then are traveling east on Jackson past Franklin and resuming the regular route.
 
The following temporary changes have been made to bus stops served by northbound #135 buses:
 
  • Jackson/Franklin: a near side stop has been added to service.
  • Franklin/Jackson: the near side stop has been removed from service.
 
#136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express
From Union Station, northbound #136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express buses are operating south on Wacker to Van Buren then are traveling via Van Buren, Canal to Jackson and resuming the regular route.
 
The following temporary changes have been made to bus stops served by northbound #136 buses:
 
  • Jackson/Franklin: a near side stop has been added to service.
  • Franklin/Jackson: the near side stop has been removed from service.
 
#156 LaSalle (PM Service Only)
During the evening rush period only, northbound #156 LaSalle buses departing from Union Station are traveling west on Van Buren to Wacker then are operating via Wacker to Jackson and resuming the regular route.
 
The following temporary bus stop change has been made and is in effect for northbound #156 buses during the evening rush period only: 
 
  • Franklin/Jackson: the near side stop has been removed from service.
 

Relocation of #36 Broadway Bus Stop Due to Nearby Construction

Currently in effect until Friday, July 12, 2013, the southbound near side stop at Broadway/Elmdale served by #36 Broadway buses has been relocated to a far side stop due to nearby construction.
