69th Street Closed for Construction until Mid-NovemberOngoing construction has now closed 69th Street between Wentworth and Halsted in both directions lasting until mid-November. #67 67th/69th/71st buses will operate eastbound via Halsted, Marquette, Lafayette, back to 69th then resume the regular route. Westbound #67 buses will operate via Lafayette, Vincennes, 71st, Wentworth, Marquette, Halsted, back to 69th then resume the regular route.

North Avenue Closes for Work on Blue Line Elevated StructureNorth Avenue will be closed between Damen and Hoyne from 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday for work on the Blue Line elevated structure in that location. #72 North buses will operate in both directions via Western, Armitage, Damen, back to North then resume the regular route.

McFetridge Closes for Soldier Field Events SaturdayMcFetridge will be closed from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday for the Bears? Meet Your Seat Day and the opening ceremony for Soldier Field. #12 Roosevelt and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses will operate via Columbus, Lake Shore Drive, 18th, Museum Campus Drive to Solidarity where they will turn and make the reverse trip.

Madison Street Bridge over the Chicago River Closes for MaintenanceThe Madison Street Bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from 9 p.m. Saturday until 9:30 a.m. Sunday for cleaning. #20 Madison, #56 Milwaukee,#60 Blue Island and #124 Navy Pier buses will operate in both directions via Wacker, Randolph, Clinton, back to Madison then resume the regular route.

Eight Bus Routes Return to Columbus Drive Beginning SundayDue to the completion of the new 11th Street pedestrian underpass to the Museum Campus, eight CTA buses will return to their regular routes on Columbus beginning at 5 a.m. Sunday. Affected routes are #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffery Express, #26 South Shore Express, #28 Stony Island Express, #127 NW/Madison and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express. The routes will operate in both directions via Lake Shore Drive, Columbus, Balbo and Michigan. The stop on Columbus will be at 11th Street, instead of Roosevelt Road. Columbus and 11th Street are near the underpass and new overhead walkway to Michigan Avenue. Buses were rerouted to Michigan between Roosevelt and Balbo during the underpass construction that began on January 19, 2003.

Parade May Cause Minor Service Delays SundayThe China Day Parade will take place from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday. Marchers will assemble on 24th Place between Wentworth and Princeton then proceed north on Wentworth to Cermak and west on Cermak to Princeton where the parade will disband. There will be no street closures, but #21 Cermak buses could experience minor delays during the parade.

Pearson Closes for Five Days Beginning MondayPearson will be closed between Dewitt Place and Lake Shore Drive from 6 a.m. Monday, September 29 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 3 while a tower crane is dismantled. #157 Streeterville buses will operate in both directions via Pearson, Inner Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, Fairbanks, then resume the regular route.

43rd Street Closed for Metra Viaduct Work43rd Street is closed at LaSalle for construction on the Rock Island Metra viaduct until 5 p.m. Thursday, October 16. #43 43rd buses will operate in both directions via Wentworth, 47th, State, back to 43rd then resume the regular route.

Construction Closes 103rd until the End of SeptemberStreet reconstruction has closed the eastbound lanes of 103rd Street between Dauphin and Cottage Grove. The closure is expected to last until September 30.#106 East 103rd buses will operate eastbound via King Drive, 107th, Cottage Grove, back to 103rd then resume the regular route.

Construction Closes McCormick until Early OctoberMcCormick is closed between Devon and Lincoln for construction until Monday, October 6. #11 Lincoln buses will operate in both directions via Devon, Kedzie, back to Lincoln then resume the regular route. #82 Kimball/Homan buses will operate in both directions via Homan, Devon, back to Kimball then resume the regular route.
