Wentworth Closed for Street ConstructionWentworth is closed between 51st and 47th Streets until 5 p.m. Friday, September 23. Northbound #24 Wentworth buses are operating via Wentworth, 51st, State, 47th to LaSalle, then resuming the regular route. Southbound service is not affected.
Washington Bridge over the Kennedy Expressway Temporarily Closed for ReconstructionThe Washington bridge over the Kennedy Expressway is closed through Thursday, November 24. Eastbound #20 Madison buses are operating via Madison, Halsted, Desplaines, Monroe, Jefferson, back to Washington, then resuming the regular route. Westbound service is not affected.
Division Street Bridge over the Chicago River Closes for Repairs FridayThe Division Street bridge over the north branch of the Chicago River will be closed from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 16. #70 Division buses will operate in both directions via Division, Elston, Milwaukee, Chicago, Halsted, back to Division, then resume the regular route.
Single Track in Effect on the Brown Line over the WeekendDue to track maintenance, single track service will be in effect northbound between Kimball and Albany from 9 p.m. Saturday, September 17 until 9 a.m. Sunday, September 18.
Maintenance Work Temporarily Closes Two Southbound Brown Line Stations SaturdayMaintenance work will temporarily close the southbound stations at Wellington and Diversey from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, September 17. As a result southbound Brown Line trains will not stop at Wellington or Diversey. Southbound customers who wish to exit at Wellington or Diversey will need to travel to the Fullerton station and transfer to northbound trains back to those stations.
Maintenance Temporarily Closes Addison Platform and Stairway on the Brown Line SundayMaintenance will temporarily close the northbound Addison platform and stairway on the Brown Line from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, September 18. As a result,northbound trains will not stop at Addison. Northbound customers who wish to exit at Addison will need to travel to the Irving Park station and transfer to southbound trains back to Addison.
Cermak Closes for the Cicero Mexican Independence Day Parade SundayCermak will be closed between 54th Avenue and 61st Court from noon until 2 p.m. for the Cicero Mexican Independence Day Parade. Eastbound #21 Cermak buses will operate via Cermak, Ridgeland, 16th to the terminal on Laramie where they will begin their westbound trips via 54th, 16th, Ridgeland, back to Cermak, then resume the regular route.
Franklin Closes for Removal of a Construction Crane Beginning MondayFranklin will be closed between Institute Place and Chestnut from 7 a.m. Monday, September 19 through 6 p.m. Tuesday September 20. Northbound #37 Sedgwick/Ogden buses will operate via Orleans, Chicago, LaSalle to Division, then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via Orleans, Chestnut to Wells, then resume the regular route.
Lunt Closes for Street Construction Beginning MondayLunt will be closed between California and Western from 9 a.m. Monday, September 19 through 5 a.m. Wednesday, September 21. #96 Lunt buses will operate in both directions via Lunt, Western, to Touhy, then resume the regular route.
Homan Closes for Sewer Work Beginning MondayThe block from 1332 to 1433 North Homan will be closed from 9 a.m. Monday, September 19 through 5 p.m. Sunday, October 2. #82 Kimball/Homan buses will operate in both directions via Homan, Division, Kedzie, North, back to Kimball, then resume the regular route.
Red Line Work:Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line over the WeekendDue to the rehabilitation of the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect northbound between 94th and 79th Streets from 8 p.m. Friday, September 16 until 8 a.m. Saturday, September 17.
Single track service will be in effect northbound between 33rd and 15th Streets from 8 p.m. Saturday, September 17 until noon Sunday, September 18.
Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Next WeekSingle track service will be in effect northbound between Garfield and 45th Street from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, September 19 and Tuesday night, September 20 and southbound in the same location during the same hours Wednesday night, September 21 and Thursday night, September 22.
Maintenance Temporarily Closes Red Line Platform over the WeekendPlatform rehabilitation will temporarily close the northbound platform at the 87th station on the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, September 17. As a result, northbound customers who wish to exit at 87th will need to travel to 79th and transfer to southbound trains back to 87th.
Overnight Track Maintenance Temporarily Closes Three Southbound Red Line Platforms Beginning SundayTrack maintenance on the north end of the Red Line will take place from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. each night from Sunday, September 18 through Thursday, September 22. As a result, southbound trains will not stop at the Jarvis, Morse and Loyola stations. During these hours, customers who wish to exit at those stations will need to travel to the Granville station and transfer to northbound trains back to those stations.
