Kedzie Overpass Closes for Construction FridayKedzie will be closed for concrete repairs between 73rd and 76th Streets from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Friday. #52A South Kedzie buses will operate in both directions between Columbus, Western, 71st, back to Kedzie then resume the regular route.
Additional Service Provided for Scary, Scary Nights at Soldier FieldAdditional and later service will be provided on the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express bus route to accommodate customers attending the Scary, Scary Nights events at Soldier Field from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. Friday and from 2 p.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday. #146 buses will operate from the Museum Campus until midnight both nights.
California Closes for Ongoing Blue Line RehabCalifornia will be closed between 19th and 21st Streets from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to accommodate the ongoing renovation of the Cermak (Douglas) branch of the Blue Line. #94 South California buses will operate in both directions via Cermak, Marshall, Sacramento, Ogden, back to California then resume the regular route.
Longer Purple Line Trains Provided for Northwestern Wildcats FootballThe Northwestern Wildcats host Wisconsin at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Longer Purple Line trains will operate beginning at 9 a.m. and after the game as crowds warrant. Ryan Field is just west of the Purple Line's Central station in Evanston.
Loop Streets Close for Halloween Parade SaturdayA Halloween parade in the Loop will close State between Randolph and Monroe; Monroe between State and Dearborn; and Dearborn between Monroe and Washington from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday. The closures will affect the following bus routes: #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffery Express, #20 Madison, #22 Clark, #29 State, #36 Broadway, #56 Milwaukee, #145 Wilson/Michigan Express, #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, #147 Outer Drive Express and #151 Sheridan. These buses will be rerouted to adjacent streets and CTA supervisors will be on hand to assist customers for the duration of the parade.
47th Street Closed at LaSalle for Viaduct Construction until mid-November47th Street is closed at LaSalle for construction of a Metra viaduct until Friday, November 14. Eastbound #47 47th buses will operate via Wentworth, 51st, State, back to 47th then resume the regular route. Westbound #47 buses will operate via State, 51st, LaSalle, back to 47th then resume the regular route.
Eastbound #43 43rd buses will operate via Wentworth, 51st, State, back to 43rd then resume the regular route. Westbound #43 buses will operate via State, 51st, Wentworth/LaSalle, Root, Wentworth, back to 43rd then resume the regular route.
Orleans Bridge Closed Intermittently for RepairsThe Orleans bridge over the Chicago River is closed for repairs from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. until Wednesday, November 5. This closure will affect some northbound morning and afternoon rush period trips on the #37 Sedgwick/ Ogden and #125 Water Tower Express bus routes. Affected trips will operate via Wacker, LaSalle, Hubbard, back to Orleans then resume the regular route.
Damen Sewer Work Extended until the End of NovemberDamen is closed for sewer main construction between Schiller and Potomac until Sunday, November 30. #50 Damen buses will operate in both directions via Division, Western, North, back to Damen then resume the regular route.
