EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE BEGINNING THE WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 15 - 17

BUS SHUTTLE IN EFFECT ON RED LINE OVER THE WEEKENDDue to track reconstruction, trains will not operate between the Sox-35th and Chinatown stations from 10 p.m. Friday, October 15 until 2 a.m. Monday, October 18. A bus shuttle will transport customers between the two stations. Customers should add approximately 20 minutes to their travel time.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Monday through Next ThursdaySingle track service will be in effect southbound between 33rd and 15th Streets from 11 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, October 18 and Tuesday night, October 19; and northbound in the same location Wednesday night, October 20 and Thursday night, October 21.

Customers should allow extra travel time.

Red Line By-Pass Tracks in ServiceDue to the Dan Ryan Red Line reconstruction, CTA trains are using by-pass tracks between 52nd and 56th Streets until late October.

CTA trains also are using by-pass tracks between 75th and 79th Streets until mid-November.

Customers will continue to board trains at their normal stations.

Brown and Orange Line Trains to be Rerouted over the WeekendDue to track work on CTA's elevated structure, the tracks between the intersection of Lake/Wells and the Washington/Wells station will be out of service from 2 a.m. Saturday until 11:59 p.m. Sunday. During this time, upon entering the Loop, southbound Brown Line trains will change to Orange Line trains and will continue to Midway. These trains will operate along Lake and Wabash, serving the Clark/Lake, State/Lake, Randolph/Wabash, Madison/Wabash and Adams/Wabash stations.

Upon entering the Loop, northbound Orange Line trains will change to Brown Line trains and will continue to Kimball. These trains will operate along Wabash and Lake, serving the Adams/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Randolph/Wabash, State/Lake and Clark Lake stations.

A shuttle train will operate between Washington/Wells and Library-State/Van Buren stations in both directions to take customers to stations along Wells and Van Buren.

Cicero Closed for Sewer Work until FridayCicero is closed northbound between Adams and Madison until 5 p.m. Friday. Northbound #54 Cicero buses are operating via Cicero, Jackson, Laramie, Washington, back to Cicero, then resume the regular route. Southbound service will not be affected.

26th Street Closed for 5K Run/Walk Saturday26th Street will be closed between Albany and Kolin from 7 a.m. until noon for the La Villita 5K Run/Walk Saturday. #60 Blue Island/26th buses will operate in both directions via 26th, Kostner, Cermak, Marshall, California, back to 26th, then resume the regular route.

59th Street Bridge over the Dan Ryan Closed for Construction SaturdayThe 59th Street Bridge over the Dan Ryan will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday. Westbound #59 59th buses will operate via 59th, Wentworth, 57th, Wells, back to 59th, then resume the regular route. Eastbound buses will operate via 59th, Wells, 63rd, Wentworth, back to 59th, then resume the regular route.

Additional Service Provided for Navy Pier Fireworks on Saturday NightsAdditional buses will operate on the #29 State, #66 Chicago and #124 Navy Pier bus routes for spectators attending the fall fireworks displays at Navy Pier at 9 p.m. Saturday nights through October 30. The last #124 bus leaves the pier at midnight. The last #29 and #66 buses leave the pier at 12:20 a.m.

Additional Service Provided for Bears Game on SundayAdditional service will be provided on the #12 Roosevelt and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express bus routes for the Bears game against the Washington Redskins at noon on Sunday. Additional service will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until one hour after the game ends or as crowds warrant.

CTA's #128 Soldier Field Express route also will operate between the Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and Soldier Field beginning at 10:25 a.m. and continuing until 1 ? hours after the game ends.

Narragansett Closes for Railroad Crossing Construction Beginning MondayNarragansett will be closed between 59th and 60th Streets from 6 a.m. Monday, October 18 until 6 p.m. Friday, October 22. #55N 55th/Narragansett buses will operate in both directions via Narragansett, 60th, Austin, 59th, back to Narragansett, then resume the regular route.

Garfield Closes for Metra Construction Beginning TuesdayGarfield will be closed eastbound between State and Wentworth from 5 a.m. Tuesday, October 19 until 6 p.m. Friday, October 22. Eastbound #55 Garfield and #X55 Garfield Express buses will operate via Garfield, Wentworth, 51st, State, back to Garfield, then resume the regular route.

Additional Service Provided for Soccer Game at Soldier Field Wednesday Night Additional service will be provided on the #12 Roosevelt and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express bus routes serving Soldier Field for an international soccer game between the women's teams from the U.S. and Ireland at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 20. Additional service will begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue until one hour after the game ends or as crowds warrant.
