EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE BEGINNING THE WEEKEND OF NOVEMBER 5 - 7

Single Track in Effect on Red Line over the WeekendDue to the rehabilitation of the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect southbound between 69th and 87th Streets from 8 p.m. Friday until 3 p.m. Saturday and northbound in the same location from 8 p.m. Saturday until 3 p.m. Sunday.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Monday through Next ThursdaySingle track service will be in effect southbound between 33rd and 45th Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. each night Monday night, November 8 through Thursday night, November 11.

Customers should allow extra travel time.

Red Line By-Pass Tracks CTA Red Line trains are expected to discontinue using the set of by-pass tracks between 75th and 79th Streets this weekend. At that time, trains will return to the main track.

Customers will continue to board trains at their normal stations.

State Street Bridge over the Chicago River Closes for Maintenance FridayThe State Street bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 5. Northbound #29 State buses will operate via State, Wacker, Dearborn, Kinzie, back to State, then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via State, Kinzie, Clark, Wacker, back to State, then resume the regular route.

Southbound #36 Broadway buses will operate via State, Kinzie, Clark, Wacker, back to State, then resume the regular route. Northbound service will not be affected.

Southbound #62 Archer buses will operate via Kinzie, State, Hubbard, Clark, Wacker, back to State, then resume the regular route. Northbound service will not be affected.

Halsted Closes for Overnight Street Construction Halsted will be closed at Lake from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Thursday night, November 4, and Friday night, November 5. Southbound #8 Halsted buses will operate via Halsted, Washington, Desplaines, Fulton, back to Halsted, then resume the regular route. Northbound buses will operate via Halsted, Fulton, Jefferson, Randolph, back to Halsted, then resume the regular route.

Helicopter Lift Closes Chestnut SundayA helicopter lift at 260 East Chestnut will close Chestnut between Inner Lake Shore Drive and DeWitt Place from 9 a.m. until noon Sunday, November 7. Northbound #10 Museum of Science & Industry buses will operate via Chicago, Inner Lake Shore Drive, Huron, Fairbanks, Chicago, back to Michigan, then resume the regular route.

Ashland Closes for 5K Race on SundayAshland will be closed between Harrison and Madison for the ?Gimme Shelter? 5K race from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 7. #9 Ashland buses will operate in both directions via Ashland, Harrison, Morgan, Madison, back to Ashland, then resume the regular route.

Eastbound #126 Jackson buses will operate via Jackson, Oakley, Congress, Damen, Harrison, Morgan, back to Jackson, then resume the regular route. Westbound buses will operate via Van Buren, Morgan, Harrison, Damen, Van Buren, Oakley, back to Jackson, then resume the regular route.
