Additional Yellow Line Service Provided for Weekend EventsIn anticipation of large crowds attending the Cubs versus Yankees games and the Gospel Music Festival this weekend, the CTA will operate Yellow Line service between Skokie and Howard until midnight Friday night. Additionally, Yellow Line trains will operate between 10 a.m. and midnight Saturday and Sunday.
Additional Service Provided for Gospel Music FestivalLonger trains will serve music lovers attending the annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival in Grant Park Friday through Sunday. Performances will be held at the Petrillo Music Shell at Jackson and Columbus Drive.
At the end of each evening's performance, buses on the #146 Marine/Michigan and #151 Sheridan routes will await riders northbound on Michigan between Jackson and Adams. Customers can board #6 Jeffery Express buses, which operate until 12:30 a.m. nightly, at their regular stops along the route southbound via State, Congress, Michigan and Roosevelt.
Printer's Row Book Fair Closes StreetsThe annual Printer's Row Book Fair will close Dearborn between Polk and Harrison; and Polk between Clark and State from noon Friday, June 6 to midnight Monday morning, June 9.
Southbound #22 Clark buses will operate via Harrison, Wells, Congress to Dearborn, then resume the regular route.
Southbound #36 Broadway buses will operate via Congress to Dearborn, then resume the regular route.
Northbound #62 Archer buses will operate via Polk, State, Congress to Dearborn, then resume the regular route.
Northbound #129 West Loop/South Loop buses will operate via State, Polk, Congress to Dearborn, then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will run via Polk, Clark, 18th to State, then resume the regular route.
Party on the Plaisance Closes Streets Saturday EveningThe University of Chicago's ?Party on the Plaisance? will close 59th Street between Woodlawn and Kimbark from 6 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7.#171 University of Chicago/Hyde Park buses will be rerouted westbound only via Dorchester, Midway Plaisance to Woodlawn, then resume the regular route.
63rd Street Closed for Rail Viaduct Rehab Project Until June 20Work on the CSX railway viaduct has closed 63rd Street eastbound only between Bell and Hamilton. Eastbound #63 63rd buses are being rerouted via Western, Marquette, Damen to 63rd then resume the regular route.
Damen and California Closed for Rehab of the Cermak (Douglas) Branch of the Blue Line Damen will be closed from Cullerton to 21st Street from 6 a.m. Saturday, June 7 until midnight Monday morning, June 9. #50 Damen buses will bererouted in both directions via Cermak, Ashland, 18th and Damen then resume the regular route.
California will be closed between 19th and 21st Streets from 6 a.m. Saturday until midnight Monday morning. #94 South California buses will operate in both directions via Cermak, Marshall, Sacramento and Ogden then resume the regular route.
103rd Street Closed Weekdays from St. Lawrence to Cottage Grove until June 12Construction has closed 103rd Street eastbound only from St. Lawrence to Cottage Grove. Closures are in effect weekdays only from 9 a.m. until4 p.m. Eastbound #106 East 103rd buses are operating via King Drive, 107th, Cottage Grove to 103rd then resuming the regular route.
