Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line over the WeekendDue to track maintenance on the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect southbound between 79th and 94th Streets from 8 p.m. Friday, June 3 until 8 a.m. Saturday, June 4 and northbound between 87th and 69th Streets from 8 p.m. Saturday, June 4 until noon Sunday, June 5.
Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Next WeekSingle track service will be in effect northbound between 69th and 63rd Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, June 6 and Tuesday night, June 7 and southbound during the same hours and in the same location Wednesday night, June 8 and Thursday night, June 9.
Leland and Lincoln Closed for May Festival in Lincoln Square Beginning ThursdayLeland is closed between Lincoln and Western, and Lincoln is closed between Leland and Wilson from 9:30 a.m. today until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 5 for the annual May Festival celebration. #11 Lincoln buses will operate in both directions via Western, Montrose, back to Lincoln then resume the regular route.
#49B North Western buses will operate in both directions via Western, Montrose, Lincoln, Wilson back to Western then resume the regular route.
Overnight Track Maintenance Temporarily Closes Three Red Line Platforms over the Weekend and Next WeekTrack maintenance on the north end of the Red Line will take place from 9 p.m. Friday, June 3 until 4 a.m. Saturday, June 4. As a result, northbound trains will not stop at the Bryn Mawr, Thorndale and Granville stations. During these hours, customers wishing to exit at those stations will need to travel to the Loyola station and transfer to southbound trains back to those stations.
Additional track maintenance on the north end of the Red Line will take place from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. each night from Sunday, June 5 through Thursday, June 9. As a result, southbound trains will not stop at the Granville, Thorndale and Bryn Mawr stations. During these hours, customers wishing to exit at those stations will need to travel to the Berwyn station and transfer to northbound trains back to those stations.
Late Night Single Track in Effect on Forest Park Branch of the Blue Line Beginning MondayDue to track maintenance, single track service will be in effect eastbound from 9 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. between Kedzie and Western Sunday night, June 5 and Monday night, June 6, and during the same hours eastbound between Pulaski and Western Tuesday night, June 7.
87th Street Closes Due to Sewer Construction Saturday87th Street will be closed at Jeffery Boulevard from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4. This closure is related to the ongoing sewer construction taking place on Jeffery between 87th and 93rd Streets through July 15.
From 7 a.m. Saturday until 3:30 pm. Saturday, #87 87th buses will operate via 87th, Anthony, 83rd, Stony Island, back to 87th, then resume the regular route.
In addition, during these same hours, northbound #14 Jeffery Express and #15 Jeffery Local buses will operate via Jeffery, 93rd, Anthony, 87th, back to Jeffery then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via Jeffery, Anthony, 93rd, back to Jeffery then resume the regular route.
Once the work is completed Saturday afternoon, the #14 and #15 buses will return the detour that has been in place since the project began. Buses will operate in both directions via Jeffery, 93rd, Stony Island, 87th, back to Jeffery, then resume the regular route. Buses on the #87 route will return to their normal routing.
Kedzie Bridge over the Chicago River Closes for Repairs Wednesday NightThe Kedzie bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday night, June 8 until 6 a.m. Thursday, June 9. The closure will affect buses on the #52 Kedzie/California route.
63rd Street Closed for CSX Railroad Viaduct Repairs 63rd Street is closed westbound only between Damen and Western from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. weekdays until Friday, June 24. Westbound #63 63rd buses are operating via 63rd, Damen, 59th, Western, back to 63rd, then resuming the regular route. Eastbound service is not affected.
Lake Red Line Subway Entrance Temporarily Closed for RenovationsThe Lake Street station entrance to the Red Line is temporarily closed and is only available as an exit during all hours until late summer. Customers are encouraged to use the adjacent Red Line subway station entrance at Washington.
Trains continue to stop at the Lake Street subway station during all hours.Customers wishing to exit at the north end of the Lake station should walk north and use the newly renovated stairway. They also may enter and exit at the Randolph/Washington exit at the south end of the station.
