Events Affecting CTA Service Beginning the Weekend of June 10 - 12

#9 Ashland and #168 UIC-Pilsen Express Buses Resume Normal Routing Beginning FridayConstruction on Ashland between Cermak and Archer has ended. #9 Ashland and #168 UIC-Pilsen Express buses will return to their normal routing beginning at 5 a.m. Friday, June 10.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line over the WeekendDue to track maintenance on the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect northbound between 55th and 33rd Streets from 8 p.m. Friday, June 10 until 8 a.m. Saturday, June 11 and again in the same location from 8 p.m. Saturday, June 11 until noon Sunday, June 12.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Next WeekSingle track service will be in effect southbound between 63rd and 69th Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, June 13 through Wednesday night, June 15. Single track service will be in effect during the same hours northbound between 94th and 87th Streets Thursday night, June 16.

Printer's Row Book Fair Closes Streets Beginning Friday MorningThe annual Printer's Row Book Fair will close Dearborn between Polk and Harrison; and Polk between Clark and State from 10 a.m. Friday, June 10 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 12.

Southbound #22 Clark buses will operate via Clark, Congress, Dearborn to Van Buren where they will begin their northbound trips.
Southbound #36 Broadway buses will operate via State, Congress, Dearborn to Van Buren where they will begin their northbound trips.
Northbound #62 Archer buses will operate via State, Congress to Dearborn then resume the regular route. Southbound service will not be affected.
Northbound #129 West Loop/South Loop buses will operate via State, Congress to Dearborn, then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via Clark, Congress to State, then resume the regular route.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Forest Park Branch of the Blue Line Beginning FridayDue to track maintenance, single track service will be in effect eastbound between Morgan and LaSalle from 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 10 until 6 a.m. Saturday, June 11, and again from 11:30 p.m. Saturday until 8 a.m. Sunday, June 12 , and from 11:30 p.m. Sunday until 4 a.m. Monday, June 13. Single track service will be in effect eastbound between Lavergne and Kedzie from 9 p.m. Monday, June 13 until 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 14.

Clark Closes for Festival Beginning SaturdayClark will be closed between Foster and Bryn Mawr for the Andersonville Midsommarfest from 2 a.m. Saturday, June 11 until 10 p.m. Sunday, June 12. #22 Clark buses will operate in both directions via Bryn Mawr, Ashland, Foster, back to Clark, then resume the regular route.

Lincoln Closes for Rib Fest Beginning SaturdayLincoln will be closed between Irving Park and Warner for the North Center Rib Fest from 6 a.m. Saturday, June 11 until midnight Sunday night, June 12. #11 Lincoln buses will operate in both directions via Montrose, Damen, back to Lincoln, then resume the regular route.

Damen Closes for Work on Brown Line Elevated Structure SundayDamen will be closed between Eastwood and Leland from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, June 12. #50 Damen buses will operate in both directions via Damen, Wilson, Ashland, Lawrence, back to Damen, then resume the regular route.

Additionally, the southbound platform and stairway at the Damen station on the Brown Line will be closed from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday. As a result, southbound Brown Line trains will not stop at Damen. Customers wishing to exit at Damen will need to travel to Montrose and transfer to a northbound train back to Damen.

Overnight Track Maintenance Temporarily Closes Three Southbound Red Line Platforms Beginning SundayTrack maintenance on the north end of the Red Line will take place from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. each night from Sunday night, June 12 through Thursday night, June 16. As a result, southbound trains will not stop at the Granville, Thorndale and Bryn Mawr stations. During these hours, customers wishing to exit at those stations will need to travel to the Berwyn station and transfer to northbound trains back to those stations.

Laramie Closes for Sewer Repairs Beginning MondayLaramie will be closed northbound only at Fulton from 9 a.m. Monday, June 13 until 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 22. Northbound #57 Laramie buses will operate via Laramie, Madison, Cicero, Lake, back to Laramie, then resume the regular route. Southbound service will not be affected.

Belmont Closes for Sewer Work Beginning MondayBelmont will be closed eastbound only at Meade from 9 a.m. Monday, June 13 until 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 22. Eastbound #77 Belmont buses will operate via Narragansett, Diversey, Austin, back to Belmont, then resume the regular route. Westbound service will not be affected.

Grand Avenue Bridge over the Chicago River Closes for Repairs Monday NightThe Grand Avenue bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday, June 13 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 14. #65 Grand buses will operate in both directions via Grand, Halsted, Chicago, Kingsbury, back to Grand, then resume the regular route.

Chicago Avenue Bridge over the Chicago River Closes for Repairs Tuesday NightThe Chicago Avenue bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 14 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, June 15. #66 Chicago buses will operate in both directions via Chicago, Halsted, Division, Crosby, Larrabee, back to Chicago, then resume the regular route.

63rd Street Closed for CSX Railroad Viaduct Repairs 63rd Street is closed westbound only between Damen and Western from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. weekdays until Friday, June 24. Westbound #63 63rd buses are operating via 63rd, Damen, 59th, Western, back to 63rd, then resuming the regular route. Eastbound service is not affected.

Lake Red Line Subway Entrance Temporarily Closed for RenovationsThe Lake Street station entrance to the Red Line is temporarily closed and is only available as an exit during all hours until late summer. Customers are encouraged to use the adjacent Red Line subway station entrance at Washington.

Trains continue to stop at the Lake Street subway station during all hours.Customers wishing to exit at the north end of the Lake station should walk north and use the newly renovated stairway. They also may enter and exit at the Randolph/Washington exit at the south end of the station.
