EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE BEGINNING THE WEEKEND OF JULY 23 - 25

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Friday Through Next Thursday Due to the rehabilitation of the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect southbound between 79th and 94th Streets from 11 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday and again northbound between 55th and 45th Streets from 11 p.m. Saturday until noon Sunday.

Single track service also will be in effect northbound between 87th and 79th Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, July 26 through Thursday night, July 29.

Customers should allow extra travel time.

Red Line By-Pass Tracks in ServiceDue to the Dan Ryan Red Line construction, CTA trains are using by-pass tracks between 62nd and 58th Streets until late August.

CTA trains also are using by-pass tracks between 30th and 34th Streets until mid-September.

Customers will continue to board trains at their normal stations.

East Terminal for CTA Buses at McCormick Place Closes for Sewer Work Beginning FridayThe east terminal for CTA buses at McCormick Place west of King Drive between 23rd Street and 24th Place will be closed weekdays only from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. for approximately two weeks beginning Friday. Eastbound #21 Cermak buses will operate via Cermak, King, 24th Place to Gate 3. Buses will begin their westbound trips leaving Gate 3 and operating via King, back to Cermak, then resume the regular route.

LaSalle Street Bridge over the Chicago River Closes Friday and Part of Next WeekThe LaSalle Street bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday and again daily Monday through Wednesday, July 26 - 28. Northbound #156 LaSalle buses will operate via LaSalle, Wacker, Dearborn, Kinzie, back to LaSalle, then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via LaSalle, Kinzie, Clark, Wacker, back to LaSalle, then resume the regular route.

Division Bridge over the Chicago River Closed Beginning FridayThe Division bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River will be closed eastbound from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday and Monday. Eastbound #70 Division buses will operate via Division, Elston, Milwaukee, Chicago, Halsted, back to Division then resume the regular route.

A westbound closure of the bridge will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 27. Westbound #70 buses will operate via Division, Halsted, Chicago, Milwaukee, Elston, back to Division, then resume the regular route.

Fairbanks Closes for Two Weekends for Pedestrian Bridge Construction Fairbanks will be closed between Huron and Superior from 5 a.m. until noon Saturday and Sunday and again during the same hours next Saturday and Sunday, July 31 ? August 1. During the closures northbound #3 King Drive and #66 Chicago buses will operate via Michigan, Chicago, Inner Lake Shore Drive, Ontario, Fairbanks, Ohio to the terminal on Ohio just west of McClurg Court. Buses will begin their southbound trips via Ohio, Inner Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, back to Michigan, then resume the regular route.

Additional Service Provided for Soccer Game and Practice Sessions at Soldier Field Saturday and Sunday Additional service will be provided on the #12 Roosevelt, #130 Grant Park Treasures and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express bus routes serving Soldier Field for an international soccer game between Manchester and Munich on Sunday at 3 p.m. Additional service on the #12 and #146 routes will begin at1 p.m. and continue until one hour after the game ends or as crowds warrant. Additional service on the #130 will begin at 11:15 a.m. from Ogilvie Transportation Center with the last bus leaving Soldier Field after the game at 8:15 p.m.

Additional service also will be provided on Saturday for fans wishing to attend the teams? practice sessions at 3:30 p.m. for Munich and at 5 p.m. for Manchester. additional service on the #12 and #146 routes will begin at 2:30 p.m. and continue until one hour after the practice sessions end or as crowds warrant. Additional service on the #130 will begin at 1:15 p.m. from Ogilvie with the last bus leaving Soldier Field at 8:15 p.m.

Helicopter Lift Closes Sheridan Road Sunday MorningA helicopter lift at 6400 North Sheridan Road will close Sheridan between Devon and Arthur from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Sunday. #147 Outer Drive Express buses will operate in both directions via Sheridan, Pratt, Clark, Devon, back to Sheridan, then resume the regular route.

Eastbound #155 Devon buses will operate via Devon, Clark, Pratt, back to Ashland, then resume the regular route. Westbound buses will operate via Pratt, Clark, back to Devon, then resume the regular route.

Pulaski and 16th Street Close for Sewer Work Beginning MondayPulaski will be closed northbound only at 16th Street beginning at 6 a.m. Monday for approximately one week. Northbound #53 Pulaski buses will operate via Pulaski, Ogden, Cermak, Central Park, Roosevelt, back to Pulaski, then resume the regular route. Southbound service will not be affected.

16th Street will be closed between Pulaski and Central Park beginning at 6 a.m. Monday and lasting approximately two months. #18 16th/18th buses will operate in both directions via 16th, Central Park, Ogden, Pulaski, back to 16th, then resume the regular route.

Jackson Bridge over the Chicago River Closes TuesdayThe Jackson bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 27. Eastbound #1 Indiana/Hyde Park, #7 Harrison, #28 Stony Island Express, #124 Navy Pier, #126 Jackson, #151 Sheridan and #156 LaSalle buses will operate via Jackson, Canal, Monroe, Wacker, back to Jackson, then resume the regular route. Westbound service will not be affected.

Filming Project Closes 75th Street Wednesday75th Street will be closed between King Drive and Calumet between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday. Eastbound #74 74th/75th buses will operate via State, 76th, King, back to 75th, then resume the regular route. Westbound buses will operate via 75th, King, 76th, State to the 69th Street Red Line Station, Lafayette, back to 75th, then resume the regular route.

Halsted Bridge over the Chicago River Closes Beginning WednesdayThe Halsted Street bridge over the Chicago River North Branch Canal will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. daily Wednesday, July 28 through Friday, July 30. #8 Halsted buses will operate in both directions via Halsted, Chicago, Larabee, Crosby, Division, back to Halsted, then resume the regular route.
