Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line over the WeekendDue to track maintenance on the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect southbound between 63rd and 79th Streets from 8 p.m. Friday, July 15 until 8 a.m. Saturday, July 16. Single track service will be in effect southbound between 55th and 69th Streets from 8 p.m. Saturday, July 16 until noon Sunday, July 17.
Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Next WeekDue to track maintenance on the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect northbound between 69th and 63rd Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, July 18 and Tuesday night, July 19 and southbound in the same location during the same hours Wednesday night, July 20 and Thursday night, July 21.
Maintenance Temporarily Closes Southbound Red Line Platform over the WeekendPlatform maintenance will temporarily close the southbound platform at the 63rd station on the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, July 16 and from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 17. As a result southbound customers who wish to exit at 63rd will need to travel to 69th and transfer to northbound trains back to 63rd.
Austin Closed for Church CarnivalAustin is closed at 61st Street for the Saint Symphorosa Church Carnival until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 17. Westbound #55 A 55th/Austin buses are operating via Austin, 61st, to Meade, then resuming the regular route. Eastbound buses are operating via Austin, 63rd, Mayfield, 61st, back to Austin, then resuming the regular route.
Ashland Bridge over the Chicago River Closes for Repairs Thursday and Friday NightThe Ashland bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from 10 a.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday, July 14 and Friday, July 15. #9 Ashland and #168 UIC ?Pilsen Express buses will operate in both directions via Ashland, Archer, Loomis, Cermak, back to Ashland, then resume the regular route.
Chicago and Kedzie Close for Sewer Repairs Beginning FridayThe westbound lanes of Chicago Avenue at Kedzie will be closed from 7 a.m. Friday, July 15 until 6 p.m. Friday, July 22. #52 Kedzie/California buses will operate in both directions via Kedzie, Grand, Chicago, then resume the regular route.
Westbound #66 Chicago buses will operate via Chicago, Grand, Kedzie, back to Chicago, then resume the regular route. Eastbound service will not be affected.
Main Street in Evanston Temporarily Closes for Viaduct Repairs Beginning FridayMain Street will be closed between Chicago and Custer from noon Friday, July 15 until noon Monday, July 18. #200 Main Shuttle buses will operate in both directions via Main, Ridge, Greenleaf, Chicago, back to Main, then resume the regular route.
Additionally, single track service will be in effect on the Purple Line northbound between South Boulevard and Lee Street from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday, July 16 and again during the same hours and same location southbound Sunday, July 17.
Avenue C Closes for Neighborhood Festival FridayAvenue C will be closed between 106th and 112th Streets from 5 p.m. until midnight Friday, July 15. #100 Jeffery Manor buses will operate in both directions via 106th, State Line Road, 112th to Avenue B, then resume the regular route.
Additional Service Provided for Soccer Games at Soldier Field SaturdayAdditional service will be provided on the #12 Roosevelt, #130 Grant Park Treasures and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express for a soccer game at Soldier Field between the Chicago Fire and the Columbus Crew Saturday, July 16. The game begins at 3 p.m. The game will be followed by an international game at 5:30 p.m. between Real Madrid, featuring David Beckham, and CD Guadalajara. Additional service on all three routes will begin at 1 p.m. and continue until one hour after the international game ends.
Lincoln Closes for Festival Beginning SaturdayLincoln will be closed between Roscoe and Addison for the ?Rock Around the Block? festival from 4 a.m. Saturday, July 16 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 17. #11 Lincoln buses will operate in both directions via Lincoln, Addison, Ashland, back to Lincoln, then resume the regular route.
Additional Service Provided for Concert at Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island SaturdayAdditional service will be provided on the #130 Grant Park Treasures bus route for the Journey concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 16. Service will operate to the concert every 15 ? 20 minutes from the Ogilvie Transportation Center with return trips operating back to Ogilvie every 15 minutes until one hour after the concert ends.
Damen Closes for Repairs to Brown Line Elevated Structure SundayDamen will be closed between Eastwood and Leland from 5 a.m. until5 p.m. Sunday, July 17. #50 Damen buses will operate in both directions via Damen, Wilson, Ashland, Lawrence, back to Damen, then resume the regular route.
Northbound #145 Wilson/Michigan Express buses will operate via Wilson, Damen, Western, Lawrence to Ravenswood, then resume the regular route. Southbound service will not be affected.
Additionally, from 6 a. m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, the northbound platform and stairway of the station will be closed while the work is being completed. As a result northbound trains will not stop at Damen. Northbound customers who wish to exit at Damen will need to travel to Western and transfer to southbound trains back to Damen.
Late Night Single Track on Red Line Sunday NightDue to track maintenance on the north end of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect southbound between Addison and Belmont from 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17 until 4 a.m. Monday, July 18.
Division Closes for Farmers Market on Saturdays through October 22Division will be closed between State and Clark for the Near North Farmers Market from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. each Saturday through October 22. Southbound #36 Broadway buses will operate via Division, Clark, Maple to State, then resume the regular route. Northbound buses will operate via State, Elm back to Clark, then resume the regular route.
Eastbound #70 Division buses will operate via Division, Clark, Maple to Dearborn, then resume the regular route. Westbound service will not be affected.
State Street Closed for Construction State Street is closed northbound only between 91st and 87th Streets through Tuesday, August 2. Northbound #29 State buses are operating via State, 91st, Indiana, 87th, back to State, then resuming the regular route. Southbound service is not affected.
33rd Street Entrance at Sox-35th Red Line Station Temporarily Closed for Renovations As part of the ongoing renovation of the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, the 33rd Street entrance is closed until late October of this year. Customers are encouraged to use the 35th Street entrance to the station while the work is completed.
26th Street Closed for Railroad Viaduct Repairs 26th Street is closed between Kostner and Ogden until Tuesday, November 1. #60 Blue Island buses are operating in both directions via 26th, Kostner, Ogden, back to 26th, then resuming the regular route.
Lake Red Line Subway Entrance Temporarily Closed for RenovationsThe Lake Street station entrance to the Red Line is temporarily closed and is available as an exit only until late summer. Customers are encouraged to use the adjacent Red Line subway station entrance at Washington.
Trains continue to stop at the Lake Street subway station during all hours.Customers who wish to exit at the north end of the Lake station should walk north and use the newly renovated stairway. They also may enter and exit at the Randolph/Washington exit at the south end of the station.
