Damen Avenue Closes for Helicopter Lift Saturday
Damen Avenue will be temporarily closed between 13th and 17th Streets Saturday, January 7 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. for a helicopter lift at 2011 W. Hastings.
The #50 Damen (accessible) buses will be rerouted northbound via Damen to 18th Street, Ashland to Roosevelt, back to Damen to resume the regular route. Southbound is the reverse.
Red Line - Dan Ryan Branch Rehabilitation
CTA is working to replace track, power and signal systems and upgrade stations along the branch. When the work is completed, customers will experience more reliable service and modern station amenities.
Weekend Red Line Single Track
Single track service will be in effect southbound between 69th and 79th from 11 p.m. Thursday, January 5 until 4 a.m. Friday, January 6 and again northbound in the same location, during the same hours Monday, January 9 to Tuesday, January 10.
Single track service will be in effect northbound between 94th and 79th from 8 p.m. Friday, January 6 until 8 a.m. Saturday, January 7.
Single track service will be in effect southbound between Garfield and 69th from 8 p.m. Saturday, January 7 until noon Sunday, January 8.
Customers should allow extra travel time.
Late Night Single Track Tuesday — Friday
Single track service will be in effect northbound between 87th and 79th from 11 p.m. Tuesday, January 10 until 4 a.m. Wednesday, January 11 and again in the same location, during the same hours Wednesday night, January 11 through Friday, January 13.
