Events Affecting CTA Service Beginning the Weekend of January 13 - 15

Note: CTA buses and trains will operate on regular schedules on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 16.

Indiana Closed for Structure Clean Up
Indiana is closed until further notice between 33rd and 34th Streets for work at 3301 S. Indiana.

Northbound #1 Indiana Hyde Park and #4 Cottage Grove buses will be rerouted via Indiana, 35th, State to 31st, back to Michigan, then resume the regular route. Southbound service is not affected.

Kinzie Closes for Helicopter Lift Saturday
Kinzie will be temporarily closed between Dearborn and State Streets Saturday, January 14 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a helicopter lift at 17 W. Kinzie. Northbound #62 Archer buses will be rerouted north to Hubbard and east to State for southbound trips via State.

Lake Shore Drive Closes for Maintenance Work
The northbound lane of Lake Shore Drive will be closed at 47th Street from 9 p.m. Saturday, January 14 until 5 a.m. Sunday, January 15 for maintenance work at 47th Street.

Northbound #6 Jackson Park Express and #173 U of Chicago/Lakeview Express buses will operate via 47th to King Drive, Cermak, Michigan, Balbo, back to Michigan, then resume the regular route. Southbound service is not affected.

Additional Service Provided for Bears NFC Divisional Playoff Game Sunday
CTA will provide extra transit service to get fans to and from the NFC Divisional Playoff game against the Carolina Panther this Sunday, January 15. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 3:30 p.m.

CTA will provide additional service on the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express and on the #12 Roosevelt bus routes beginning two hours before the game until kickoff and for one hour after the game ends.

CTA's #128 Soldier Field Express route will operate non-stop between the Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and Soldier Field. Service begins approximately two hours before the game until kickoff. After the game, buses leave Soldier Field every few minutes until one hour after the game ends.

Red Line - Dan Ryan Branch Rehabilitation
CTA is working to replace track, power and signal systems and upgrade stations along the branch. When the work is completed, customers will experience more reliable service and modern station amenities.

Weekend Red Line Single Track in Effect
Single track service will be in effect northbound between 79th and 63rd from 8 p.m. Friday, January 13 until 8 a.m. Saturday, January 14.

Single track service will be in effect southbound between 69th and 87th from 8 p.m. Saturday, January 14 until noon Sunday, January 15.

Late Night Single Track in Effect Next Week
Single track service will be in effect southbound between 79th and 87th from 11 p.m. Monday, January 16 until 4 a.m. Tuesday, January 17 and again in the same location, during the same hours Tuesday night, January 17 through Friday, January 20.
