Late Night Single Track in Effect at the Rosemont Blue Line Station Next Week
A late night single track will be in effect for northbound Blue Line trains at the Rosemont station next week from 8 p.m. Monday, February 16 until 4 a.m. the following morning and then again from 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 17 until 4 a.m. the following morning.
Northbound Blue Line customers at the Rosemont station must board and exit trains from the southbound side of the platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Late Night Single Track at the Cumberland Blue Line Station
A late night single track will be in effect for southbound Blue Line trains between the Rosemont and Cumberland stations next week from 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 18 until 4 a.m. the following morning.
Southbound Blue Line customers at the Cumberland station must board and exit trains from the northbound side of the platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Thursday Night – Northbound
From 8 p.m. Thursday, February 19 until 4 a.m. the following morning a late night single track will be in effect for northbound Blue Line trains between the Cumberland and Rosemont stations.
Northbound Blue Line customers at the Cumberland station must board and exit trains from the southbound side of the platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Red Line – Slow Zone
Daytime Reroute of Red Line Trains at Sheridan
A daytime reroute will be in effect for Red Line trains operating in both directions at the Sheridan station from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 14, while crews replace deteriorated rail ties, tie plates and spikes.
During this time, northbound and southbound Red Line trains will operate on the Purple Express tracks. Customers at the Sheridan station must board and exit trains from the outer platforms instead of the inner platforms.
Next Week
From approximately 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day beginning Tuesday, February 17 through Friday, February 20, a daytime reroute will be in effect for Red Line trains operating in both directions at the Sheridan station while crews replace deteriorated rail ties, tie plates and spikes.

Two-Phase Single Track in Effect between the Sedgwick and Chicago Brown Line Stations on Sunday
Due to structure maintenance and repair work, a single track will be in effect for southbound Brown Line trains from 6:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, February 15.
During this time, southbound Brown Line customers at the Sedgwick and Chicago stations must board and exit trains from the northbound platform.
CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Noon to 5 p.m. – Northbound
From noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, a single track will be in effect for northbound Brown Line trains between the Chicago and Sedgwick stations as crews continue structure maintenance and repair work.
Northbound Brown Line customers at the Chicago and Sedgwick stations must board and exit trains from the southbound platform.
CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Red Line – Other Events Affecting Service
Weekend Construction to Affect Southbound Red Line Customers Transferring at Howard
Southbound Red Line trains will be temporarily rerouted at the Howard Terminal this weekend from 4 a.m. Saturday, February 14 until 4 a.m. Monday, February 16, while construction crews install canopies and stairway enclosures along the southbound Red, Yellow and Purple Line platform.
Southbound Red Line trains (six-car and eight-car trains only) will berth at the northbound platform at Howard. As a result, southbound Purple and Yellow Line customers who want to transfer to a Red Line train must go through the new Howard Terminal to access southbound trains.
CTA operators will announce whether customers need to transfer to another platform to board southbound Red Line trains. Customer Assistants will be available to assist customers.
Purple and Yellow Line trains are not affected and will operate normally.
Northbound Red Line trains entering Howard are not affected and will operate normally.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
Late Night Single Track for Red Line Subway Trains between Grand and Clark/Division
A late night single track will be in effect for northbound Red Line trains between the Grand and Clark/Division stations from 10 p.m. Sunday, February 15 until 4 a.m. the following morning for sewer cleaning in the subway.
During this time, northbound Red Line customers at the Grand and Chicago stations must board and exit trains from the southbound platform.
Northbound Red Line customers at the Clark/Division station must board and exit trains from the southbound side of the platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Next Week
Sewer cleaning in the Red Line subway will continue during the week from 11 p.m. each night until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday night, February 16 through Friday morning, February 20. During these times, a single track will be in effect for northbound Red Line trains between the Grand and Clark/Division stations.
Northbound Red Line customers at the Grand and Chicago stations must board and exit trains from the southbound platform.
Northbound Red Line customers at the Clark/Division station must board and exit trains from the southbound side of the platform.

CTA Provides Service to McCormick Place for 2009 Chicago Auto Show
Chicago Transit Authority bus routes are a convenient travel option for those heading to the 2009 Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place North and South beginning Friday, February 13 through Sunday, February 22. Bus service is available during all hours the show is open.
#19 United Center Express Serves Upcoming Bulls Game
CTA will operate its #19 United Center Express buses for fans heading to the Dallas Stars versus Blackhawks hockey game on Saturday, February 14. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
Buses will leave every 10 minutes from Michigan and Randolph beginning 90 minutes before the start of the game until the starting time of the game. When the game ends, #19 buses will depart the United Center approximately every 15 minutes for one hour.
#19 buses no longer make stops along Michigan Avenue north of Randolph, but continue to make all stops on Madison from Wabash to Clinton. From Clinton, #19 buses run express to the United Center.
After the event, #19 buses will await customers on the north side of the United Center eastbound on Madison near Gate 3. On the return trip, #19 buses will operate east on Washington to Wacker, then head south to Monroe and east to Michigan, making all stops from Jefferson to Michigan before turning north on Michigan and making the final stop at Randolph.
New/Updated Changes in Bus Service
Restoration of Southbound Bus Stop at State/16th
The southbound far side bus stop located on State Street at 16th has been reinstated following the completion of nearby construction work. This stop is served by #29 State, #62 Archer and #129 West Loop/South Loop buses.
#2 Hyde Park Express and #15 Jeffery Local Buses Rerouted
Until Friday, February 20, buses operating in both directions along the #2 Hyde Park Express and #15 Jeffery Local routes will be rerouted.
Northbound #2 buses will operate over the regular route along Drexel to 47th, then travel via 47th, Woodlawn to 51st and then resume the regular route. Southbound #2 buses will travel the reverse route.
Northbound #15 buses will operate over the regular route along Hyde Park to Woodlawn then will travel via Woodlawn, 47th, Drexel to 51st and then resume the regular route. Southbound #15 buses will travel the reverse route.
#35 35th Buses Temporarily Rerouted Due to Construction Work at US Cellular Field
From 6 a.m. Saturday, February, 14 until 9 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 35th Street will be closed between Shields and Wentworth due to construction work.
Westbound #35 35th buses will operate over the regular route along 35th Street to LaSalle then will travel via LaSalle, 33rd, Shields to 35th and then will resume the regular route. Eastbound #35 buses will travel over the regular route along 35th Street to Shields then operate via Shields, 33rd, Wentworth to 35th and then resume the regular route.
Two Bus Routes Detoured for Helicopter Lift at Michigan and Randolph on Saturday
On Saturday, February 14, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Randolph Street will be closed between Michigan and Columbus due to a helicopter lift. During this time, #4 Cottage Grove and #60 Blue Island buses will be temporarily detoured.
Northbound #4 and eastbound #60 buses will operate over the regular route along Michigan Avenue to Wacker then will travel via Wacker, Columbus to South Water for the end of route and start of southbound and westbound service. Southbound #4 and westbound #60 buses will operate from South Water to Michigan and then resume their regular routes.
CTA Bus Routes Detoured for Mason Parade on Sunday
Washington Street will be closed between Dearborn and Michigan for the Mason Parade on Sunday, February 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Several CTA bus routes will be temporarily detoured.
Eastbound #20 Madison, #56 Milwaukee and #60 Blue Island/26th buses will operate over their regular routes along Washington to LaSalle then will travel via LaSalle, Monroe to Michigan Avenue and then resume their regular routes. Westbound #20, #56 and #60 buses are not affected and will travel over their regular routes.
Northbound #147 Outer Drive Express and #151 Sheridan buses will travel over their regular routes along State to Monroe then will operate via Monroe to Michigan and then resume their regular routes north along Michigan Avenue. Southbound #147 and #151 buses will travel their regular routes.
In addition, crowded conditions may require southbound #22 Clark buses to be temporarily detoured. If necessary, southbound #22 Clark buses will operate over the regular route along Clark to Wacker then will travel via Wacker, LaSalle, Monroe to Clark and then resume the regular route. Northbound #22 buses are not affected and will travel over the regular route.

Buses Rerouted on Harrison Due to Construction
Harrison Street between Paulina and Ashland will be closed to all traffic until March 2009, due to construction.
Eastbound #7 Harrison buses will travel over the regular route to Paulina then will operate via Polk, Ashland to Harrison and then resume the regular route.
Eastbound #126 Jackson buses operating during late evenings, weekends and holidays will travel over the regular route to Harrison then will operate via Harrison, Wood, Polk, Ashland to Harrison and then resume the regular route.
#7 Harrison Bus Stop Temporarily Relocated
Until further notice, the westbound mid-block bus stop located at Harrison near Paulina served by the #7 Harrison will be temporarily relocated around the corner on Paulina due to construction.
Bus Stop Relocated Due to Construction at Chestnut and Lake Shore Drive
The bus stop located at Chestnut and Lake Shore Drive served by #10 Museum of Science & Industry and #157 Streeterville buses has been relocated due to construction. Customers must board and exit #157 buses at Inner Lake Shore Drive and Pearson. #10 customers should board on Chestnut between Mies van der Rohe and Michigan or on Michigan southbound at Pearson.
#24 Wentworth Buses Temporarily Rerouted Due to Sewer Repair Work
Until further notice, #24 Wentworth buses will be temporarily rerouted to adjacent streets due to sewer repair work at the intersection of Vincennes Avenue and 71st Street.
#34 South Michigan Buses Temporarily Rerouted Due to Construction
Until further notice, 130th Street at Indiana Avenue is closed due to viaduct and sewer repair work. Southbound #34 South Michigan buses will travel over the regular route along Michigan to 115th and then operate via 115th, Bishop Ford Expressway, 130th to Langley and then resume the regular route. Northbound #34 buses will travel the reverse route. During this time, bus shuttles will operate along Michigan Avenue between 115th and 127th streets.
#43 43rd Buses Rerouted Due to Construction
Halsted is closed at Root Street from 6 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. each day until further notice, due to construction. Westbound #43 43rd buses will operate over the regular route to Halsted and then will travel via Halsted, 45th Street, Morgan to Exchange and then resume the regular route. Eastbound #43 buses will operate the reverse route.
#60 Blue Island/26th Buses Rerouted Due to Street Closure
Until further notice, Laflin Street between Cermak and 21st Place will be closed to all traffic due to construction at Benito Juarez School. Eastbound #60 Blue Island/26th buses will travel over the regular route to Cermak then will operate via Cermak, Loomis, 21st Street then return to Laflin and resume the regular route. Westbound #60 buses will operate the reverse route.
