EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE BEGINNING THE WEEKEND OF DECEMBER 3 - 5

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line over the WeekendDue to the rehabilitation of the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect southbound between 87th and 94th Streets from 10 p.m. Friday, December 3 until 3 p.m. Saturday, December 4 and northbound in the same location from 10 p.m. Saturday night, December 4 until 3 p.m. Sunday, December 5.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Monday through Next ThursdaySingle track service will be in effect northbound between 87th and 79th Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, December 6 and southbound in the same location Tuesday night, December 7.

Single track service will be in effect southbound between 69th and 79th Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Wednesday, December 8.

Single track service will be in effect northbound between 69th and 63rd Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Thursday, December 9.

Customers should allow extra travel time.

Wells Street Closes for Repairs FridayWells Street will be closed southbound only between 51st and 57th Streets from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, December 3. Southbound #24 Wentworth buses will operate via Wells, 51st, Princeton, 57th, back to Wells, then resume the regular route. Northbound service will not be affected.

Westbound #59 59th/61st buses will operate via State, 59th, Wentworth, Garfield, Princeton, back to 59th, then resume the regular route. Eastbound service will not be affected.

Wacker Drive Closes for Filming Project Saturday MorningWacker will be closed between State and Wabash from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, December 4. Southbound buses on the #6 Jackson Park Express and #146 Marine/Michigan Express routes will operate via Michigan, Wacker, Randolph to State, then resume the regular route. Northbound service will not be affected.

Northbound #10 Museum of Science & Industry buses will operate via State, Washington to Michigan, then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via Michigan, Randolph to State, then resume the regular route.

Michigan Avenue Closes for Helicopter Lift Saturday MorningA helicopter lift at 332 South Michigan will close Michigan between Jackson and Congress from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday, December 4. CTA will detour to adjacent streets the #3 King Drive, #4 Cottage Grove, #6 Jackson Park Express, #14 Jeffery Express, #28 Stony Island Express, #126 Jackson and #145 Marine/Michigan Express bus routes for the duration of the lift.

63rd Street Closes for Holiday Parade Saturday Afternoon63rd Street will be closed between Keeler and Oakley from noon until 3:30 p.m. for the Greater Southwest Development 63rd Street Holiday Parade on Saturday. #49 Western buses will operate in both directions via Western, Marquette, Damen, 59th, back to Western, then resume the regular route.

#52A South Kedzie buses will operate in both directions via Kedzie, Marquette, Cicero, 59th, back to Kedzie, then resume the regular route.

#53A South Pulaski buses will operate in both directions via Pulaski, Marquette, Cicero, 59th, back to Pulaski, then resume the regular route.

#63 63rd buses will operate in both directions via Cicero, 63rd, Marquette, Damen, back to 63rd, then resume the regular route.

#94 South California buses will operate in both directions via California, Marquette, Damen, 59th, back to California, then resume the regular route.

Toys for Tots Motorcycle Parade to Cause Intermittent Delays SundayThe Toys for Tots Motorcycle Parade will take place on Western Avenue from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 5. The bikers will travel northbound on Western from Dan Ryan Woods at 83rd/Western to Foster where they will head west to Foster/Troy and the Marine Corps Reserve Center. Northbound #49 Western buses and all bus routes crossing Western may experience intermittent service delays during the parade.

Additional Service Provided for Bears Game on SundayAdditional service will be provided on the #12 Roosevelt and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express bus routes for the Bears game against the Minnesota Vikings at noon on Sunday. Additional service will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until one hour after the game ends or as crowds warrant.

CTA's #128 Soldier Field Express route also will operate between the Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and Soldier Field beginning at 10:25 a.m. and continuing until 1 ? hours after the game ends.
