EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE BEGINNING THE WEEKEND OF APRIL 30 – MAY 2

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Friday Through Next Thursday Due to the rehabilitation of the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect southbound between 13th and 33rd Streets and northbound between 33rd and Cermak Road from 10 p.m. Friday until noon Sunday.

Single track service will be in effect southbound between 33rd and 45th Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, May 3.

Single track service will be in effect northbound between 55th and 47th Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Tuesday night, May 4 through Thursday night, May 6.

Customers should allow additional travel time.

Red Line By-Pass Tracks in ServiceDue to the Dan Ryan Red Line construction, by-pass tracks are in place between 87th and 84th Streets until next weekend.

By-pass tracks also are in place between 67th and 71st Streets until late May.

Customers will continue to board trains at their normal station locations.

Jackson Closed for Construction on FridayThe ongoing work on CTA's Paulina Connector will close Jackson between Ogden and Paulina from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, April 30. Eastbound #126 Jackson buses will operate via Jackson, Wood, Monroe, Paulina, back to Jackson then resume the regular route. Westbound service will not be affected.

Parade Closes Columbus SaturdayColumbus will be closed between Roosevelt and Monroe beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday for the Polish Constitution Day Parade. The parade will proceed north from Balbo to Monroe. #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffery Express, #28 Stony Island Express and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses that ordinarily operate via Columbus and Balbo will be rerouted in both directions to operate via Roosevelt and Michigan during the parade.

Additional Service Provided for Chicago Fire Soccer Game Saturday NightAdditional service will be provided on the #12 Roosevelt and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express bus routes for the Chicago Fire soccer game against the New York-New Jersey Metro Stars at Soldier Field Saturday night. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. The additional bus service will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until one hour after the game ends or as crowds warrant.
