On January 27th, CTA Diversity Programs held its Mid-Level Construction (MIDCON) Services Meet-the-Contractors event at the JLM Life Center. Over 60 attendees networked to develop one-on-one industry relationships with CTA’s MIDCON prime contractors and gained insight into partnering with them on upcoming opportunities!

The CTA is committed to the success of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) through promoting opportunities to DBEs within transit. On October 27th, CTA Diversity Programs held its General Engineering Consultant outreach event where 50+ attendees gained insight into upcoming opportunities and networked to develop one-on-one industry relationships.

Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) DBE & Workforce Information Session

The CTA is committed to the success of Disadvantaged Businesses Enterprises (DBEs) through promoting contract opportunities to DBEs within transit. The Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) DBE & Workforce Information Session was held at the Broadway Armory on September 28th where attendees learned about upcoming contracting and workforce opportunities. CTA Diversity Programs kicked off the event with a warm welcome, followed by the Walsh-Fluor team who provided an overview of the RPM project and upcoming opportunities, and CTA RPM workforce partners, HIRE360 and the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, gave insight into workforce opportunities! Attendees were able to network and develop one-on-one industry relationships with vendors.

Our disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program is committed to the success of minority and women-owned businesses through promoting contract opportunities to DBEs within transit.

CTA’s Juanpablo Prieto and Veronica Alanis represented Diversity Programs at the Federation of Women Contractors July Member Meeting. During the event, attendees gained insight into upcoming opportunities, learned how to do business with the CTA, and networked.

CTA & Clark Construction DBE Workforce Virtual Outreach Event

On June 15th, Diversity Programs held its DBE Workforce Virtual Outreach Event with Clark Construction on the new CTA Non-Revenue Rail Vehicle Maintenance Facility. Over 40 participants were able to gain insight on DBE participation, workforce resources, trade opportunities, and more.
