Buses on the #24 Wentworth route are operating on Vincennes between 79th and 87th later and more frequently on weekday afternoons, effective immediately. This better serves commuters during afternoon rush periods, as well as the Simeon Career Academy at 8235 South Vincennes.
Service on the #24 Wentworth route operates weekdays, mainly between Vincennes/79th and Clark/Wacker. #24 buses will now provide afternoon service south on Vincennes to 87th until 6:57 p.m. Previously, only two #24 buses traveled south of 79th after 3:50 p.m.
The service improvement will also add trips north on Vincennes from 87th to downtown between 2:14 p.m. and 7:07 p.m. Previously, the last bus from Vincennes/87th to downtown left at 4:08 p.m. Regular service to downtown operates from Vincennes/79th until 7:30 p.m.
Morning service on the #24 Wentworth route to and from 87th remains unchanged. #24 buses operate south on Vincennes from 79th to 87th from about 6:40 a.m. until 9:02 a.m. Buses leave 87th for Clark/Wacker between 6:49 a.m. and 9:09 a.m. #24 buses make all regular stops between 87th and downtown.
