CTA Unveils Special Bears NFC Champion Train Cars

The Chicago Transit Authority today unveiled a train wrapped in tribute to the National Football Conference Champion Chicago Bears. The train made its debut at the Roosevelt Orange Line station.

?The Chicago Bears brought excitement and fun to football fans this season and we are pleased to recognize their success with this commemorative train," said Chicago Transit Board Chairman Carole Brown. ?We are excited to make this train part of Chicago's celebration as the Bears head to the Super Bowl."

?Throughout the regular season and the playoffs, CTA transported Bears fans to and from the game to cheer on the team," said CTA President Frank Kruesi. ?CTA customers can continue to celebrate and support their team by riding the Chicago Bears train."

Two train cars are wrapped in artwork featuring the orange and navy team colors, the Chicago Bears logo, the words 2006 CHAMPION on one side of the train and the words ?GO BEARS? on the other side. In addition, "GO BEARS" appears on the top of the 2600-series cars, rail car numbers 3101 and 3102. The interior of the cars feature congratulatory car cards for the team's accomplishment.
