Kimball-bound Brown Line Trains to Temporarily Bypass Diversey Station on Saturday

The Chicago Transit Authority is a convenient and affordable transit option for those traveling around Chicago this weekend, including to upcoming events at the United Center.

The CTA is also notifying customers of weekend track maintenance work that will affect Brown Line service this Saturday.

Customers should allow extra travel time.

Rail Service:

CTA’s Ashland/Lake station, served by the Green and Pink lines, is located a few blocks northeast of the United Center. Customers exiting at the station can transfer to #9 Ashland buses or simply walk a few blocks to the stadium. Customers taking the Blue Line can get to the United Center by exiting at the Illinois Medical District station and walking a few blocks north to the United Center.

Kimball-bound Trains to Temporarily Bypass Diversey Station

Track maintenance work will require Kimball-bound (northbound) Brown Line trains to temporarily bypass the Diversey station this Saturday beginning at approximately 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Loop-bound (southbound) Brown Line trains are unaffected and will continue to serve all stations.

Kimball-bound customers who wish to exit at Diversey will need to travel to Wellington and then transfer to a Loop-bound (southbound) train.

Kimball-bound customers traveling from the Diversey station will need to board a Loop-bound train to Fullerton and transfer to a Kimball-bound train.

Normal service will resume at approximately 5 p.m.
