Cable Installation Affects Weekend O'Hare Branch Blue Line Service
Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, September 29, and continuing until about 2 a.m. Monday, October 2, Blue Line trains will operate on a revised schedule. Trains will use a single track between Logan Square and Addison. A similar schedule will be in effect on weekends until November 17-20 as the work continues along the line between Grand and Jefferson.
China Day Parade on Franklin Street at Midday Saturday, September 30
The China Day Parade will close Franklin and cross streets between Lake and Monroe from about 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, detouring #20 Madison and #56 Milwaukee buses. Eastbound buses will be detoured off Washington via Wacker, Jackson and LaSalle back to Washington. Westbound buses will operate via Madison, LaSalle, Adams, and Wacker back to Madison.
Demolition Closes Halsted from 14th Pl. to 16th St. Evenings October 1-16
The demolition of a railroad viaduct over Halsted north of 16th Street will detour #8 Halsted buses from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. nightly, starting Sunday, October 1, and continuing until Monday, October 16. #8 buses will be detoured in both directions off Halsted via 18th, Racine, Blue Island and Roosevelt to Halsted.
Five Detoured Bus Lines Return to Michigan Avenue October 2
The reopening of all lanes of traffic on Michigan between Randolph and Monroe will allow five CTA bus lines that had been detoured to State to resume service on Michigan, starting Monday, October 2. The affected lines are the #14 South Lake Shore Express, #20 Madison, #56 Milwaukee, #127 North Western/Madison and #157 Streeterville.
Railroad Crossing Construction Closes 103rd at Eggleston October 2 ? 6
Buses on the #103 West 103rd route will be detoured off 103rd between Wentworth and Halsted from 8 a.m. Monday, October 2, until about 3 p.m. Friday, October 6. #103 buses will operate via 103rd, Wentworth, 107th, and Halsted to 103rd in both directions.
Track Work Affects Forest Park Blue Line Service at Night October 2 ? 5
Maintenance work on the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line will require trains in both directions to operate alternately over the same track between Kedzie and Pulaski from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. nightly from Monday, October 2, until early Friday, October 6.
