Sewer construction on Cermak between Ashland and Damen
Cermak will be closed from 9 a.m. Friday, June 16, until about 11 p.m. Sunday, June 18, for sewer construction between Ashland and Damen. #21 Cermak and X21 Cermak Express buses will be detoured from Cermak via Damen and Blue Island back to Cermak in both directions.
Celebrate on State
State Street will be closed from midnight Friday, June 16, until midnight Sunday, June 18 between Lake and Van Buren for Celebrate on State. Eleven bus routes are affected, and will be detoured either to Michigan, Dearborn or Clark. (For details, visit CTA's website at www.transitchicago.com.)
Northcenter Rib Festival and Cook-Off on Lincoln
Lincoln Avenue will be closed from midnight Friday, June 16, until midnight Sunday, June 18, between Irving Park and Montrose. #11 Lincoln buses will be detoured off Lincoln in both directions via Damen and Montrose back to Lincoln.
Puerto Rican Day Parade Saturday on Columbus Drive
Columbus Drive will be closed on Saturday, June 17, from 10:30 a.m. until about 2:15 p.m. between Monroe and Balbo for the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade. During that time #6 Jeffery Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #130 Grant Park Treasures and #146 Marine/Michigan Express buses will operate north of Roosevelt on Michigan instead of via Columbus and Balbo to Michigan.
Building repairs Sunday on Michigan between Lake and South Water
Michigan Avenue will be closed between Lake and South Water Streets Sunday, June 18, from about 5:30 a.m. until noon, while repairs are made to the wall tiles on an office building. Buses will be detoured to Columbus between Wacker and Randolph in both directions.
Helicopter Lift on Michigan at Delaware Sunday Morning
Michigan Avenue will be closed periodically Sunday, June 18, from about 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. between Walton and Pearson while a helicopter lifts equipment to the top of the John Hancock Center, at 875 N. Michigan. #145 Wilson/Michigan, #146 Marine/Michigan and #151 Sheridan buses will be detoured off Michigan as necessary by CTA supervisors at the scene.
