Professional Volleyball Games at North Avenue Beach
#72 North buses will provide service directly to the North Avenue Beach for games being played by the Association of Volleyball Professionals Friday, June 23, through Sunday, June 25. #151 Sheridan buses also serve the beach from a stop at North and Lake Shore. #72 buses will serve the North Avenue Beach daily through August 18, and on weekends through fall. Service to the 63rd Street beach will be provided during the same period by buses on the #63 63rd route. #63, #72 and #151 buses are all accessible to persons with disabilities.

White Sox vs. Yankees Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Comiskey Park
As for all home games of the 2000 baseball season, the CTA Red Line will serve Comiskey Park for games at 7:05 p.m. Friday, 12:15 p.m. Saturday, and 1:05 p.m. Sunday, June 23-25, between the American League-leading Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees. Trips to the Sox-35th Red Line station take only 12 to 15 minutes from stops in the State Street subway downtown.

Millennium Mass at Soldier Field Saturday, June 24
Shuttle buses on the #12 Roosevelt route will provide extra service to Soldier Field for the Millennium Mass being celebrated at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 24. Extra buses will also be available on the #130 Grant Park Treasures route that serves Soldier Field from the Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station) and Union Station, and on the #146 Marine/Michigan route that operates along North Michigan Avenue and through the Loop on State Street. #12 shuttle buses will operate between the Red, Green and Orange Line 'L'- subway stations on Roosevelt east of State and McFetridge Drive at the north end of Soldier Field. Both the 'L' and subway stations at Roosevelt are accessible to persons with disabilities, as are all buses on the #12 and #130 routes.

Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade Sunday, June 25
The parade will step off at about 2 p.m. Sunday, June 25, north on Halsted from Belmont. The line of march will be north to Broadway, south to Diversey, east to Cannon, and south to Fullerton. #8 Halsted, #22 Clark, #36 Broadway, #76 Diversey, #77 Belmont, #145 Wilson/Michigan, #146 Marine/Michigan, #151 Sheridan and #152 Addison buses will be detoured. During the parade, service will not operate on Broadway from Diversey to Irving Park; on Halsted from Diversey to Waveland; on Diversey and Belmont east of Sheffield; on Addison east of Clark, and on Sheridan/Stockton between Fullerton and Belmont.
