Air and Water Show Affects Service on Lakefront Saturday and Sunday
Traffic congestion can be expected along Lake Shore Drive and nearby streets from Navy Pier to Fullerton and beyond during the 42nd Annual Chicago Air and Water Show Saturday and Sunday, August 19 ? 20. 'L' service will be the fastest from of transportation in the area on both days. Extra bus and 'L' service will be available. (For details, see attached release on Air and Water Show service.)
Four Bus Lines Detoured by Sewer Construction on Cermak at Calumet
South and eastbound buses on the #3 King Drive, #4 Cottage Grove, #21 Cermak and X21 Cermak Express (weekend only) routes will be detoured off Cermak at Michigan for about three months starting Friday, August 18, for sewer construction on Cermak at Calumet. The buses will go south on Michigan to 26th and east to King Drive, where #3 and #4 buses will turn south over their regular routes while #21 and X21 buses will head north and end their trips just off King Drive at Gate #3 of McCormick Place. Northbound service will not be affected.
Sewer Construction Closes Broadway between Irving Park and Cullom
#36 Broadway buses are being detoured off Broadway via Irving Park, Sheridan and Broadway in both directions for sewer construction that is expected to continue through the end of August.
Clark Closed at School Street for Sewer Repairs Sunday, August 20
#22 Clark buses will be detoured off Clark between Belmont and Addison for sewer construction at School Street Sunday, August 20, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. The detour off Clark will be via Halsted and Addison to Clark in both directions.
Taste of Austin Closes Jackson from Central to Austin August 21 ? 28
#126 Jackson buses will be detoured off Jackson between Central and Austin during the week-long event starting Monday, August 21. Westbound #126 buses will go north on Central to Madison, west to Austin, and south to the terminal at Jackson. Eastbound buses will make the same detour in reverse.
