CTA SERVICE AFFECTED BY SPECIAL EVENTS OVER THE WEEKEND OF JULY 14 - 16

Chicago Folk & Roots Festival July 14-16
Lincoln Avenue will be closed between Montrose and Sunnyside from about 5 p.m. Friday, July 14, through Sunday, July 16, for a festival in Welles Park. #11 Lincoln buses will be detoured off Lincoln in both directions via Wilson, Damen and Montrose back to Lincoln.

Bring It On Home To Me Roots Festival Saturday, July 15
47th and King Drive will be closed to traffic all day Saturday for the festival, which will affect three CTA bus lines. #3 King Drive buses will be detoured off King in both directions via 48th, Prairie and 46th to King; #28 Stony Island buses will turn off 47th via St. Lawrence, 46th and Prairie back to 47th, and #47 47th buses will end their eastbound trips via 47th, Indiana and 46th to Prairie before starting their westbound trips via Prairie and 47th.

Extra Service at Cermak-Chinatown Red Line Station Sunday, July 16
An extra Customer Assistant will be stationed at the Cermak-Chinatown Red Line station Sunday, July 16, to serve customers attending the Chinatown Summer Fair. The fair will be held on Wentworth between Cermak and 25th from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Besides the Red Line, the fair will be served by fully accessible buses on the #21 Cermak, X21 Cermak Express and #62 Archer routes.

#36 Broadway Buses Resume Regular Routing at Chicago/State July 17
The reconstruction of CTA's Red Line subway station at Chicago and State has progressed to the point where State will be reopened to traffic between Chicago and Superior on Monday, July 17. This will allow #36 Broadway buses to resume their regular routing north and south on State, ending detours in both directions.
