CTA SERVICE AFFECTED BY SPECIAL EVENTS OVER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, MAY 26 - 29

Memorial Day/Cadet Day Parade on State Street Saturday, May 27
Fourteen bus routes will be detoured off State for the parade, which will step off south on State from Wacker at noon, and will disband at Van Buren. Generally, buses that enter the downtown area on Michigan will stay on Michigan in both directions. Other buses will use Dearborn northbound and Clark southbound.

Fireworks in Grant Park on Saturday, May 27
Extra buses on the #29 State, #56 Milwaukee, #66 Chicago and #124 Navy Pier Express routes will await customers at the Navy Pier terminal after the fireworks in Grant Park Saturday evening. Brown Line trains will operate three hours later than usual to the Loop Saturday night, with the last train leaving Adams/Wabash northbound at 11:10 p.m.

Holiday Schedules in effect on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29
All CTA trains and buses will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29. Weekday schedules will be in effect Tuesday, May 30.

Washington Street closed at Michigan until Tuesday, May 30
From 11 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, until 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, Washington will be closed at Michigan for construction. Northbound #147 Outer Drive Express and #151 Sheridan buses will stay on State to Lake before turning east to Michigan to continue their trips north. On Tuesday, May 30, #147 and #151 buses will return to their regular routes via State and Washington to Michigan.
