CTA SERVICE AFFECTED BY EVENTS STARTING THE WEEKEND OF JULY 20 - 22

Brown Line Trains Detoured To Inner Loop Tracks After 8 p.m. July 19-21
Canopy work over the outer Loop 'L' tracks at Randolph/Wells will require Brown Line trains to operate on the inner Loop tracks from 8 p.m. until service ends around midnight Thursday, July 19, through Saturday, July 21. During this time, Brown Line trains will make their first Loop stop eastbound at Clark/Lake. They will then stop at all station platforms opposite the ones they usually serve as they proceed east on Lake, south on Wabash, west on Van Buren and north on Wells. Also on the Brown Line, starting July 21, Saturday service will operate more frequently throughout the day and evening, and evening service to the Loop will be extended to match weekday hours. The last train will leave Kimball at 11:40 p.m., and Adams/Wabash at 12:13 a.m.

Late Night Track Work Affects North End of Red Line July 19-20 and 23-26
Track work will require Red Line trains northbound from Berwyn to bypass stations at Bryn Mawr, Thorndale and Granville from 10 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. nightly, Thursday, July 19, Friday, July 20, and Monday, July 23. From Tuesday through Thursday, July 24-26, work during the same hours will require trains to bypass stations at Loyola, Morse and Jarvis. Customers traveling north from these stations should take a southbound train to the first stop south of the work zone and change to a northbound train. Customers on northbound trains intending to exit at these stations should ride north to the first stop after the work zone and change to a southbound train. On Sunday, July 22, station work will require northbound trains to bypass the Addison station from 4 a.m. until 9 a.m.

Festival Detours Three Bus Routes off King Drive at 47th Saturday, July 21
The ?Bring It On Home To Me Root Festival? Saturday, July 21, will detour three bus routes that normally pass through King Drive at 47th. #3 King Drive buses will operate off King in both directions via 48th, Prairie and 46th back to King. #28 Stony Island buses will operate in both directions off 47th via St. Lawrence, 46th, and Prairie back to 47th. #47 47th buses will end their trips east via 47th, Indiana, 46th and Prairie to 47th before starting new trips west.

CTA Buses To Bypass Stops at Jackson When Garage Work Starts July 23
CTA buses that operate on Michigan between Adams and Van Buren will bypass north- and southbound stops at Jackson when reconstruction of the Grant Park South Garage reduces traffic on Michigan to two lanes in both directions starting Monday, July 23. After Van Buren, the next stop for northbound buses will be at Adams. For southbound buses leaving the mid-block stop between Madison and Monroe, the next stop will be mid-block between Van Buren and Congress.
