CTA SERVICE AFFECTED BY EVENTS OVER THE WEEKEND OF MARCH 9 - 11

Structural Work at Western/O'Hare Blue Line Station Saturday, March 10 From 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, construction work at the Western/O'Hare Blue Line station will require trains to operate alternately in both directions using the same track while serving the Damen and Western stations. During this period trains will run every 15 minutes in both directions.

Extra Buses Serve Flower and Garden Show at Navy Pier March 10 - 18 Buses on the #124 Navy Pier Expressroute will serve Navy Pier for the Flower and Garden Show over next two weekends from Union Station and the Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station), starting at 9 a.m. on Saturdays and at 10 a.m. on Sundays, with the last bus leaving Navy Pier for return trips to the stations 15 minutes after the show closes. #124 buses will operate every 15 minutes both days. Service to Navy Pier is also provided by CTA's #29 State, #56 Milwaukee, #65 Grand and #66 Chicago buses, which operate daily.

Buses Detoured Off 71st Westbound from Jeffery to Stony IslandSewer construction on 71st Street will detour #71 71st buses westbound only via Jeffery, 67th and Stony Island back to 71st through April. Customers can board #71 buses at any stop along the detoured route.

#17 Westchester Bus Detour Off Bellwood Avenue Starts Thursday Reconstruction of the Bellwood Avenue bridge over the Eisenhower Expressway in Westchester will require detouring #17 Westchester buses for about nine months starting Thursday, March 15. Instead of turning south from Madison on Bellwood, outbound #17 buses will continue west on Madison to Mannheim, go south to Roosevelt, east to Westchester Avenue and south to the terminal at Canterbury. Buses returning to the Forest Park Blue Line terminal will operate via Canterbury, Mannheim, and Madison to Desplaines. Customers who normally board #17 buses on Balmoral should board on Canterbury or Mannheim instead.
