Brown Line Trains Affected by Structural Work Sunday, March 25Maintenance work on the 'L' structure between Hill and Elm Streets will affect Brown Line service from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, March 25. During this period trains will operate alternately in both directions using the same track while serving the Chicago Avenue and Sedgwick stations. A special schedule will be in effect, with trains operating every 15 minutes in both directions.
Buses detoured Off Halsted for Hellenic Parade Sunday AfternoonBuses on three CTA routes will be detoured off Halsted between Lake and Harrison starting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday for the annual Hellenic Heritage Parade.
#8 Halsted buses will be detoured northbound via Harrison, Jefferson and Lake, while southbound buses will use Lake, Desplaines and Harrison back to Halsted. #20 Madison buses will be detoured westbound via Jefferson, Lake and Morgan back to Madison, and eastbound via Morgan, Lake and Desplaines to Washington. #126 Jackson buses will be detoured off Van Buren westbound via Desplaines, Harrison and Morgan back to Van Buren, and eastbound off Jackson via Morgan, Harrison and Jefferson back to Jackson.
Extra Service to Soldier Field for XFL Football Game at 6 p.m. Sunday Soldier Field will be served by extra CTA buses Sunday, March 25, starting about two hours before the 6 p.m. XFL football game between the Chicago Enforcers and the Birmingham Bolts. Shuttle buses will supplement regular service on the #12 Roosevelt route to Soldier Field from the fully accessible Red, Green and Orange Line 'L' stations at Roosevelt. Extra #146 Marine/Michigan Express buses will operate south on State from Lake. Also, #128 Soldier Field Express buses will provide direct service from the Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station) on Madison between Canal and Clinton and from Union Station eastbound on Jackson at Canal before running express to Soldier Field.
