March of Dimes Walk Detours Three Bus Lines Early Sunday, April 29#6 Jeffery Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry and #146 Marine/Michigan Express buses will be detoured early Sunday, April 29, for the March of Dimes Walk in Grant Park. Until the walk ends just after 10 a.m., the buses will operate on Michigan between Roosevelt and Balbo instead of using Columbus Drive.
Construction at 47th Detours Three Bus Lines Southbound Starting Monday Construction on Lake Shore Drive that has kept buses on three CTA lines from entering Lake Shore northbound at 47th since February will require detouring the buses for southbound trips as well starting Monday, April 30. Until construction ends in late June, #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jeffery Express and #173 U of Chicago ? Lakeview Express buses will exit Lake Shore southbound at Oakwood (3946 South), operating via Oakwood, Cottage Grove and 47th back to the regular route at Lake Park. As with northbound service, no local stops are made north of 47th/Lake Park. Customers should allow extra travel time for their trips.
