CTA SERVICE AFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION STARTING THE WEEKEND OF FEBRUARY 16-18

Next Two WeekendsStructural work at the Western Avenue station on the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line will affect Blue Line service from midnight Friday, February 16 through midnight Sunday, February 18, and during the same period over the weekend of February 23 ? 25. On both weekends, trains will operate alternately in both directions using the same track while serving the Damen and Western stations. Trains will run every 15 minutes in each direction throughout the day on both weekends. Customers should allow extra travel time for their trips.

Michigan Avenue Bridge Closed Late Saturday Until Early Sunday Buses on four CTA lines that cross the Michigan Avenue bridge late at night will be detoured when the bridge is closed for maintenance from 11 p.m. Saturday, February 17, until 6 a.m. Sunday, February 18. Northbound buses on the #3 King Drive and #151 Sheridanroutes will turn west from Michigan at South Water, and operate via Wacker, State and Ohio back to Michigan. Southbound buses will leave Michigan at Ontario, and operate via State, Wacker and South Water to Michigan. #146 buses will remain on State from downtown north to Ohio and will enter State southbound from Ontario. #N66 Chicago owl period buses will operate via Fairbanks, Columbus and South Water to Michigan in both directions.

Brown Line Trains Affected by Structural Work Sunday, February 18Structural work between Hill and Elm Streets will affect Brown Line service Sunday, February 18, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. During this period, trains will operate alternately in both directions using the same track while serving the Chicago and Sedgwick stations. A special schedule will be in effect, with trains operating every 15 minutes in both directions.

Construction on Lake Shore at 47th Detours Three Bus Lines NorthboundWork will start early Monday, February 26, on the reconstruction of Lake Shore Drive at 47th Street, detouring three bus lines that regularly enter Lake Shore northbound at 47th for about three months. The affected routes are the #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jeffery Express and #173 University of Chicago/Lakeview Express. Instead of entering Lake Shore at 47th, northbound buses will make their last local stops on Lake Park at 47th before operating express via 47th, Cottage Grove and Oakwood (3946 South) to Lake Shore for trips downtown. No stops will be made along the detoured routing. Customers should allow extra travel time for northbound trips. Southbound service will not be affected.
