CTA PROVIDES EXTRA SERVICE FOR SPECIAL EVENTS OVER THE WEEKEND OF JUNE 15-17

#19 Buses Serve United Center for ?Fleet of Flames? Performance June 15CTA's #19 United Center Express buses will serve the United Center Friday, June 15, for the 8 p.m. performance of the ?Fleet of Flames? Irish dancers. #19 buses will start trips south on Michigan from Chicago every 12 minutes, from 6 p.m. until about 7:30 p.m. #19 buses make limited stops south on Michigan and west on Madison to Clinton before running express to the United Center.

Extra Buses Serve Grant Park Music Festival Starting Saturday, June 16The annual Grant Park Music Festival, which begins Saturday, June 16, and continues through Saturday, August 18, will be served by extra CTA buses after every concert. The free concerts are held at the Petrillo Music Shell, on Jackson at Columbus Drives, a block east of Michigan. Concerts generally begin at 7:30 p.m. and end by 9:30 p.m. The Petrillo Music Shell can be reached from any bus or 'L' line that serves the Loop. After each concert, extra buses on the #6 Jeffery Express, #146 Marine/Michigan Express and #151 Sheridan routes will await concertgoers on Jackson west of Columbus for trips to their regular destinations.

Extra Service to N'sync Concerts at Soldier Field Saturday and Sunday Extra #130 Grant Park Treasures buses will serve Soldier Field for the N'sync concerts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, and Sunday, June 17. #130 buses start their trips at Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station) westbound on Madison just west of Canal, and stop for Union Station eastbound on Jackson at Canal. For the concerts, outbound trips will continue until 7:35 p.m. Also serving the concerts will be extra #146 Marine/Michigan buses operating south on State from downtown, and extra #12 Roosevelt buses, which stop at 'L' stations on Roosevelt for customers transferring from Red, Green and Orange Line trains.Return trips from Soldier Field will be made by all three bus lines until midnight.

Fireworks at Navy Pier Served by Extra Buses Saturday, June 16The fireworks display at Navy Pier scheduled for 10:15 p.m. Saturday, June 16, will be served by extra buses on the CTA's #29 State, #56 Milwaukee and #66 Chicago routes, which operate to the pier from the South, Northwest and West Sides, respectively. There will also be extra buses on the #124 Navy Pier Express route, which serves Navy Pier from Union Station and the Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station) on summer weekends.
