CTA PROVIDES EXTRA SERVICE FOR CHICAGO CLASSIC FOOTBALL GAME AT SOLDIER FIELD SATURDAY NIGHT

Extra buses on four CTA routes will serve Soldier Field for the Chicago Classic football game at Soldier Field Saturday, September 4, between Alcorn State and Grambling State Universities. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

To reach the game, football fans can take #12 Roosevelt, #130 Grant Park Treasures or #146 Marine-Michigan buses directly to McFetridge Drive on the north side of Soldier Field. #3 King Drive, #4 Cottage Grove and #6 Jeffery Express buses also stop within easy walking distance.

Soldier Field can also be reached from Red, Green and Orange Line 'L' stations at Roosevelt, between State and Wabash, just west of the viaduct on Roosevelt that connects Michigan Avenue with the Museum Campus in Grant Park. The Museum Campus borders McFetridge Drive across from Soldier Field.

After the game extra buses on the #3 King Drive, #4 Cottage Grove, #6 Jeffery Express and #146 Marine/Michigan routes will await riders on McFetridge Drive for trips south, downtown, and to the North Side. Regular service to the West Side will also be available on #12 Roosevelt buses.
