Extra CTA buses and longer trains will serve music lovers attending the annual Chicago Blues Festival in Grant Park, Thursday, June 7, through Sunday, June 10. Performances will be held daily from about 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and from noon until 9:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, mainly in the Petrillo Music Shell, at Jackson and Columbus Drives.
At the end of each evening's performance, extra buses on the #146 Marine/Michigan and #151 Sheridan routes will await riders northbound on Michigan between Jackson and Adams.
#6 Jeffery Express buses, which operate until 12:30 a.m. nightly, can be boarded at their regular stops along the route southbound via State, Congress, Michigan and Balbo to Columbus.
Also during the Blues Festival, 'L' lines serving the Loop will operate with longer trains until late every evening, and additional customer assistants will be on duty at downtown stations to help customers with fare and service information.
