CTA buses will provide convenient service to Navy Pier for the annual Chicago Flower and Garden Show, Saturday, March 8 through Sunday, March 16. Show hours are from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays and from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays.
Buses on the #29 State, #56 Milwaukee, #65 Grand and #66 Chicago routes serve Navy Pier daily. #29 State buses operate to Navy Pier north through the Loop on State before heading east on Illinois, which is one block south of the Red Line subway station at Grand. Connections can also be made to #29 buses from the Loop 'L' station at State/Lake.
#56 Milwaukee buses to Navy Pier travel east through the Loop on Washington, stopping for Union Station and the Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station) at Canal, and at Dearborn for riders transferring from the Blue Line subway station at Washington. #66 Chicago buses stop on Chicago Avenue for customers connecting from the Blue, Brown and Red Lines, and across from the Water Tower at Michigan. All #29, #56, #65 and #66 buses are accessible to persons with disabilities.
To serve the Flower and Garden Show on Saturdays and Sundays, the CTA will run its #124 Navy Pier Express buses to Navy Pier directly from Union Station and Ogilvie Center. #124 express buses start their trips from Union Station northbound on Canal at Adams. Stops are made for Ogilvie Center on Canal at Madison and at Washington before the buses run express to Navy Pier. Return trips from Navy Pier also operate express to both stations.
#124 buses will operate every 15 minutes from 9:15 a.m. until 10:15 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 9:15 a.m. until 6:15 p.m. on Sundays.
