CTA Provides Convenient Bus and Rail Service for Lollapalooza

The Chicago Transit Authority is the fast, convenient way for fans traveling to and from this year's Lollapalooza concert event in Grant Park. CTA will provide extra bus and rail service to accommodate concert goers.

Rail Service
Longer trains will operate Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the Blue, Brown, Green and Orange Lines, and on Saturday and Sunday on the Red Line, until midnight.

Customers taking the Red and Blue Lines should exit at the Jackson subway stations to get to Grant Park. Riders who take the Orange, Brown and Green Lines should exit at Adams/Wabash to get to Grant Park.

On Sunday, more frequent service will be provided in the evenings on the Brown, Orange, Green and Red Lines.

Bus Service
More frequent service will operate on the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express bus route between 2:30 and 11 p.m. on Friday and between 9 and 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Jackson Closed for Lollapalooza Festival Over Weekend
Jackson and Balbo will be closed between Columbus and Lake Shore Drive over the weekend for the Lollapalooza festival in Grant Park.

Buses on the #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffery Express, #26 South Shore Express, #X28 Stony Island Express and #130 Grant Park Treasures routes and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express will be rerouted to adjacent streets. Customers should allow extra travel time.
