CTA Prepares Riders for Second Stage of Wacker Drive Bus Reroutes

Information specialists to alert customers to pending changes to 14 bus routes
 
Next week, the CTA will deploy information specialists to several locations in the downtown area to alert riders about upcoming service changes that will affect 14 bus routes once the second stage of the Wacker Drive construction project begins.
 
To inform and prepare customers to these changes in service, CTA information specialists will be available at the following locations during the morning rush, mid-day and evening rush periods on Tuesday, June 28; Thursday, June 30; Tuesday, July 5 and Wednesday, July 6:
 
Wacker/Lake
Madison/Wacker
Franklin/Randolph
Madison/Wells
Jefferson/Washington
Madison/Clark
Canal/Washington
Madison/State
Franklin/Washington
Monroe/Canal
Washington/Michigan
Monroe/Franklin
Clinton/Madison
Monroe/LaSalle
 
Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, July 5, resulting in the closure of Wacker Drive between Washington and Monroe. These closures will affect routing and/or bus stop locations along the following 14 bus routes:

#121 Union/Wacker Express
#14 Jeffery Express
#122 Illinois Center/Ogilvie Express
#19 United Center Express
#123 Illinois Center/Union Express
#20 Madison
#124 Navy Pier
#56 Milwaukee
#125 Water Tower Express
#60 Blue Island/26th
#129 West Loop/South Loop
#120 Ogilvie/Wacker Express
#157 Streeterville/Taylor
