CTA will operate its #19 Stadium Express buses from North Michigan Avenue to the United Center Thursday, May 20, for the Shania Twain concert that is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
Fully accessible #19 Stadium Express buses will begin their trips on Michigan southbound at Chicago Avenue around 5:30 p.m., and will run every 12 minutes until a half hour before the start of the concert.
After Chicago Avenue, #19 buses make their only other stop on Michigan at Illinois Street before turning west on Wacker to State and heading south to Madison as part of a detour required by construction on Michigan. Stops southbound on State are at Lake and at Washington.
Buses then go west on Madison, where they will stop just west of State and again at Wells for riders transferring from other bus or 'L' lines. The next stop is at Clinton for Metra riders from the Ogilvie Transportation Center (NorthWestern Station) and Union Station. From Halsted the buses run express to the United Center at Wolcott.
After the concert, #19 Stadium Express buses will await riders eastbound on Madison for return trips downtown via Madison, Halsted, Washington, State and Wacker back to Michigan. The buses will stop for the Ogilvie Center and Union Station at Canal, for the Blue Line subway at Dearborn, for the Red Line at State/Randolph, and for Brown, Green, and Orange Line trains at State/Lake. Once the buses enter Michigan Avenue, they will then make all stops north to Chicago.
