CTA Providing Extra Service for BTS Concert; Bulls, Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks and Northwestern Games

CTA recommends allowing plenty of travel time and purchasing fares and unlimited-ride passes ahead of time. More information about purchasing fares is below.

Pre-season Chicago Blackhawks vs. Ottawa Senators - Thurs. 9/27 at 7:30 p.m.
Preseason Chicago Blackhawks vs. Columbus Blue Jackets - Sat. 9/29 at 7 p.m.
Preseason Chicago Bulls vs. New Orleans Pelicans - Sun. 9/30 at 8 p.m.
BTS concert – Tues. 10/2 and Wed. 10/3 at 8 p.m.

  • Bus: Extra service provided on the #19 United Center Express and #50 Damen.

Wrigley Field

  • Rail: Additional PM rush service on Red Line
  • Bus: Additional service Friday and Saturday on #80 Irving Park and #152 Addison

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs

  • Fri. 9/28 at 1:20 p.m., Sat. 9/29 at 12:05 p.m. and Sun. 9/30 at 2:20 p.m.

Chicago Bears vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Soldier Field – Sun. 9/30 at 12 p.m.

  • Bus: #128 Soldier Field Express and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express

Northwestern vs. Michigan Football at Ryan Field – Sat. 9/29 at 3:30 p.m.

  • Rail: Longer trains and more frequent service on the Purple Line

Buy your unlimited ride passes and fares in advance
Avoid long lines to buy fares! Customers can add  unlimited ride passes (1-day, 3-day, 7-day and 30-day) or add money to pay per-ride to their Ventra cards ahead of time via the free Ventra app, at rail station Ventra vending machines, online or at more than 1,000 local retailers (for locations visit ventrachicago.com or the Ventra app).

Customers can also purchase 1-day unlimited ride tickets ($10) or single-ride tickets ($3) from all Ventra vending machines. Single-ride tickets include up to two transfers in two hours. Customers can also pay their fares with their personal contactless debit or credit cards.
