CTA: Extra Service for Concerts and Cubs Games/Temporary Suspension of Green/Pink Line Service Over Lake Street Bridge

Wrigley Field concerts and games
Concerts:
Green Day – Thursday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m.
Lady Gaga – Friday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m.
Zac Brown Band – Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m.

Games:
Pirates vs. Cubs – Monday 8/28, Tuesday 8/29 and Wednesday 8/30 at 7:05 p.m.

  • Rail: Extra Red Line service on weekdays. Extra Yellow Line service all days
  • Bus: #80 Irving Park and #152 Addison

Note: CTA is piloting a program that allows customers to receive free text alerts about Cubs night games. Text CTAALERT to 89883 to opt-in and receive alerts this August and September (learn more here).

United Center: Lionel Richie + Mariah Carey concert – Saturday 8/26, 7 p.m. 

  • Rail: Green, Pink and Blue Lines
  • Bus: #19 United Center Express, #20 Madison and #50 Damen

TEMPORARY SERVICE CHANGES
Green/Pink Line Service Suspended Over Lake Street Bridge - Free bus shuttle service Saturday 8/26, 5 a.m. to Sunday 8/27, 1:30 a.m.
Due to maintenance work, Green and Pink line service will be temporarily suspended between Clinton and Clark/Lake stations. Free bus shuttle service will be provided to supplement rail service.

  • Green Line: Trains will operate between Harlem/Lake and Clinton, and between Ashland/63rd-Cottage Grove and the Loop. Trains to/from 63rd Street will operate clockwise around Inner Loop.
  • Pink Line: Trains will operate between 54th/Cermak and Polk, then to Racine Blue Line connecting to Blue Line train service to/from downtown.

Buy your unlimited ride passes and fares in advance!
Customers can add to their Ventra cards ahead of time unlimited ride passes (1-day, 3-day, 7-day and 30-day) or value to pay per-ride via the free Ventra app. The Ventra card can also be loaded at rail station vending machines, online or at nearly 1,300 local retailers (for locations visit ventrachicago.com or the Ventra app). Available for purchase from CTA vending machines are 1-day unlimited ride tickets ($10) or single-ride tickets ($3) that include up to two transfers in two hours. Customers can also pay their fares with their personal contactless debit or credit cards.
