Three of the four CTA rush period express bus routes that operate from the Ogilvie Transportation Center or Union Station to Navy Pier or Illinois Center will begin using newly reconstructed Wacker Drive Monday, December 9.
#121 Union/Wacker Express buses will operate from the southbound bus lane on Canal at Union Station to Navy Pier via lower Wacker, Michigan and Illinois, running express on lower Wacker to Michigan, and then making all stops north on lower Michigan and east on Illinois. On return trips, #121 buses will make all stops west on Grand and south on lower Michigan, making one additional stop on lower Wacker just west of Michigan before running express to the station.
#122 Illinois Center/North Western Express buses will operate from the Canal Street concourse level entrance of Ogilvie Center to Illinois Center via upper Wacker, stopping at the 333 West Wacker building before running express to State and making local stops on Wacker Place and South Water to Columbus. Returning to Ogilvie Center, #122 buses will make local stops on upper Wacker Drive from Columbus to State, and will then run express on Wacker, making one additional stop at Franklin before ending their trips via Randolph to Canal.
#123 Illinois Center/Union Express buses will operate from the southbound bus lane on Canal at Union Station via upper Wacker, making one stop at the 333 West Wacker building before running express to State and making local stops on Wacker Place and South Water to Columbus. #123 buses returning to Union Station will make local stops on upper Wacker Drive from Columbus to State. They will then run express on Wacker, make one additional stop at Franklin and end their trips via Adams and Canal to Union Station.
One of the four express routes will remain on its current routing:
#120 North Western/Wacker Express buses will continue to operate from the concourse level entrance to Ogilvie Center on Canal via Washington, Dearborn and Illinois to Navy Pier, running express to Illinois/State and making all stops east to Navy Pier. #120 buses returning to Ogilvie Center make all stops west on Grand to State before running express via Grand, Clark and Randolph to Canal.
