CTA DETOURS BUSES IN AREA OF COM ED FIRE

CTA DETOURS 4 BUS ROUTES IN AREA AFFECTED BY COM ED TRANSFORMER FIREFor the evening rush period of Thursday, September 14, 2000, the Chicago Transit Authority will be detouring 4 bus routes that travel on Dearborn Street as a result of a Com Ed transformer fire.

The bus detours are as follows:

#22 Clark and #36 Broadway
Northbound

-buses will turn off Dearborn at Monroe, go east to State, north on State, and west on Kinzie to Dearborn and over the regular routes
#22 Clark Southbound Only
- buses will turn off Clark at Wacker, go west to LaSalle,south on LaSalle to Washington, east on Washingtonto State, south on State to Polk

#24 Wentworth
- buses will turn off Dearborn at Madison, go west to Clark and south on Clark over the regular route.

#62 Archer
- buses will turn off Dearborn at Monroe, go east to State, north on State to Kinzie, west on Kinzie to Dearborn, north on Dearborn to Hubbard, then Hubbard east back to State to begin southbound trips

CTA train service is not affected.
