Construction at three locations on State from 26th to 11th Streets will detour buses on three routes starting Monday, February 4. The affected routes are the #29 State, #62 Archer and #129 West Loop/South Loop.
Northbound buses on the #29 State and #62 Archer routes were already affected by construction on State between Archer and 18th that began January 21. The new work will change the detours for both of these routes daily, and for #129 buses during weekday morning rush periods only.
New detours will affect the three routes as follows:
#29 State Northbound via State, 26th, Michigan, Cermak, Wabash and 9th back to State; southbound via State, Cermak, Michigan and 26th back to State.
#62 Archer Northeast via Archer, Clark, 18th, Wabash and 9th to State; outbound service is not affected.
#129 West Loop/South Loop (a.m. rush period only) Northbound via 18th, Wabash and 9th to State; southbound p.m. rush period service on State is not affected.
The work on State from Archer to 18th is expected to end February 23. The project on State between Roosevelt and 11th will continue through April 4. Construction on the bridge over the Stevenson Expressway will close State at 25th Street in both directions until about May 15.
