CONSTRUCTION CHANGES STOPS FOR BUSES SERVING THE HOWARD RED LINE TERMINAL

August 23, 2001
08/23/01

Construction for the Gateway Center project adjacent to the Howard Red Line rail terminal will require a temporary change in the routing and stops for buses serving the terminal. Starting Saturday, August 25, all buses will approach via Rogers Avenue, and stop for the terminal northbound on Hermitage, which will become a one-way street northbound. The buses will then begin outbound trips via Hermitage and Howard.

The CTA routes affected by the change are #22 Clark, #97 Skokie, #147 Outer Drive Express, #151 Sheridan, #201 Central/Sherman, #203 Ridge/Grant and #204 Dodge. Pace bus routes #215 Crawford/Howard and #290 Touhy will also serve the terminal via Rogers and Hermitage.

Only minor changes will be made in the way most buses reach the terminal except for #147 Outer Drive Express and #151 Sheridan buses, which will operate clockwise via Howard, Rogers and Hermitage instead of the current routing via Howard to Hermitage.

For information about all CTA routes and schedules, call 836-7000 (any local area code).
