2009 Cubs/Sox PosterCTA provides convenient and affordable bus and train service for baseball fans heading to the South Side for the Sox/Cubs series this weekend. The first game of the three-game series begins Friday, June 26 at 3:05 p.m.; Saturday’s game begins at 3:05 p.m.; and Sunday’s game starts at 1:05 p.m.

Prior to each game, CTA staff will greet customers at the Red Line Sox-35th station and distribute commemorative 2009 Crosstown Series posters to customers who use the Red Line to get to the game. Posters will be handed out as long as supplies last.

The Red Line provides direct service to Sox-35th station, just steps away from U.S. Cellular Field. Red Line trains operate between Howard and 95th, making stops at the accessible Sox-35th station. Free connections can be made from Purple and Yellow Line trains at Howard, from all elevated lines serving the Loop or from Brown Line trains at Belmont and Fullerton.

U.S. Cellular Field is also served by #35 35th buses that stop at accessible stations at 35th Street on the Green and Orange Lines, in addition to the Red Line.

The Green Line also provides a convenient travel option to U.S. Cellular Field. The accessible Green Line station at 35th-Bronzeville-IIT is a few blocks east of the field. Fans can walk to the ballpark or transfer to #35 35th buses which stop at the park.
