Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup Victory Celebration Parade and Rally to Detour 32 CTA Bus Routes on Friday

June 10, 2010

The City of Chicago will celebrate the Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup victory with a ticker tape parade followed by a rally beginning Friday morning, June 11. More than 30 CTA buses will be detoured in the downtown area during the parade and as a result of street closures for the rally.

Customers traveling into the Loop on Friday are encouraged to allow plenty of travel time due to traffic congestion and reroutes.

Morning Rush Period Service

Beginning at 7 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. Wacker Drive between Michigan and Wabash, and Michigan Avenue between Randolph and Ohio will be closed to all traffic due to the set-up and take-down of the rally staging area.
