CTA’s trains and buses are the best ways to get to various sporting events and concerts; Weekend construction work to impact the Blue and Yellow Lines
CTA can get you to all your destinations around town. Customers can save money by purchasing an unlimited rides pass, either the 1-Day ($5) – far more economical and convenient than the price of gas and parking - or the 3-Day ($15) pass – a real budget-saving move.
Service for Upcoming Events
United Center Events
- Jo Koy – Fri. 11/7 at 8 p.m.
- Druski – Sat. 11/8 at 8 p.m.
- College Basketball: Indiana vs. Marquette – Sun. 11/9 at 12 p.m.
- San Antonio Spurs vs. Chicago Bulls – Mon. 11/10 at 7 p.m.
- New Jersey Devils vs. Chicago Blackhawks – Wed. 11/12 at 8:30 p.m.
Service:
- Rail: Take the Green Line and exit at the new Damen station or exit at the Ashland station from either a Green or Pink line train.
- Get to and from these events via the #20 Madison and #50 Damen bus routes. Customers can also take the #19 United Center Express route post event.
Soldier Field
- New York Giants vs. Chicago Bears – Sun. 11/9 at 12 p.m.
Service:
- Rail: The Red, Orange and Green lines provide the closest access to Soldier Field. Exit at the Roosevelt station.
- Bus: Service on the #128 Soldier Field Express and #146 Inner Lake Shore/Michigan Express routes.
Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Blue Line Service
- Between 10 p.m., Fri. 11/7 and 4 a.m., Mon. 11/10, rail service between the Illinois Medical District and the UIC-Halsted stations will be temporarily suspended (More details)
- Shuttle buses will replace rail service between Illinois Medical District and UIC-Halsted.
- Trains will run between O’Hare and UIC-Halsted, and between Forest Park and Illinois Medical District.
- This service change is due to construction work at the Racine Blue Line station and Morgan substation.
Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Yellow Line Service
- On the Yellow Line rail service between Dempster-Skokie and Howard stations will be temporarily suspended on the following dates:
- Shuttle buses replace rail service between Dempster-Skokie and Howard in both directions.
- The shuttle buses will serve Dempster-Skokie, Oakton-Skokie, and Howard stations.
- This service change is due to track maintenance construction.
