Chicago Transit Authority customers and other transit enthusiasts now can plan their daily commutes while in the shower thanks to a perfect visual aide. The CTA has just added a durable vinyl shower curtain emblazoned with the colorful CTA system map to its Gift Express retail program.
The CTA shower curtain is $29.99 and can be purchased at the CTA store located on the 7th floor of the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, ordered online at the CTA web site, www.transitchicago.com or purchased at Chicago area Bed, Bath & Beyond stores.
The public demand for CTA-themed items has resulted in a 47 percent increase in Gift Express sales between November 2002 and November 2003. Gift Express has more than 40 fun and original items to choose from, including attractive gold-plated or sterling silver jewelry and accessories made from CTA tokens used by the public from 1922 ? 1999. Other popular items include rail map T-shirts, transit map socks and transit map silk ties.
